Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

164. Her Saviour- Part 1

A/N: Based on the scene in S2 where Finn leaves Rachel out in the cold in the Christmas tree loft with no way of getting home.

It was a week before Christmas, and Sebastian, Thad and Trent were in charge of getting a Christmas tree for the warbler room for the warblers and Dalton students who stay at the school through the holidays, and Sebastian, Thad and Trent were some of the few that was staying at the school. As Thad had parked his car with his parents trailer on the back Trent had asked his two best friends he's known since they were kids with Rachel and Puck

"Maybe afterwards and on the way back to Dalton we could get hot chocolate or hot coffee on the way home." Sebastian smiled widely as he unbuckled his seat belt to get out the car and said

"I like that idea, and you know I never say no to coffee." Thad and Trent rolled their eyes at Sebastian as they got out the car and Thad spoke

"Do you ever think your coffee addiction is the reason you can't sleep at night Smythe and the reason you are always on edge?" Sebastian shrugged his shoulders and said

"it's definitely not the coffee Harwood." Sometimes Sebastian couldn't sleep because how dark it would get in the dorms only Singing in the Rain and cuddling up to Rachel helps him be calm. Trent shook his head at Sebastian, as the three of them made their way into tree loft looking for the right Christmas tree for the Warbler room. 

They made their way through the row of trees trying to find the perfect tree when they heard soft crying coming from one of the rows. Sebastian, Thad and Trent looked at each other concerned and then separated some of the trees.

"Rachel?" They all said. 

Rachel didn't know how long she had been there crying but she didn't care as it's not like anyone else cared especially not Finn who had left her there with no way of getting home. As she cried she heard her name. Rachel looked behind her thinking Finn had come back for her, but she saw Sebastian, Thad and Trent instead. Three of her childhood friends. 

Rachel wiped her eyes and said

"Hey what are you doing here?" Sebastian gently spoke

"Here for a Christmas tree for the Warbler room for us, the warblers and Dalton students who are staying at Dalton for the holidays. Harwood, Nixon and I are in charge of getting the tree." All Rachel could do was nod in silence. She stood up and Trent asked

"Are you okay Rachel?" Rachel folded her arms shivering and said

"No I'm not. I don't have anyway of getting home thanks to Finn. He left me here." Thad, Sebastian and Trent were mortified at what Finn had done, and Thad immediately said

"You're coming with us, and you're coming back to Dalton with us too." Trent and Sebastian nodded their heads as Sebastian placed his blazer around Rachel to keep warm and Trent said

"You can room with me tonight, and bunk in my bed with me." Rachel was overwhelmed by her three friends but was also grateful for them. and Sebastian continued

"And I'll take you home in the morning too." Rachel slowly nodded her head and said

"Thank you." Sebastian placed his arm around Rachel and said

"It's okay Broadway, and you're safe with us. We will keep you safe." Rachel did feel safe with them, and gave a small smile and said

"Thank you." Rachel stayed with Sebastian, Thad and Trent while they looked for a Christmas tree, and once they found one and carried it to Thad's parent's trailer and then drove to the lima Bean.

Sebastian held Rachel close to him so she could be warm, and wiped her eyes everytime she would cry.

A while later when they reached Dalton, Sebastian and Thad went to the Warbler room, and Trent lead Rachel to his dorm so she could have a warm shower and warm dry clothes, because after all it had been snowing outside. After Rachel was dried and dressed she walked back into the dorm and Trent hugged her tight as they sat on his bed and he gave a small smile

"Sebastian is something isn't he?" Rachel slightly blushed when Trent mentioned Sebastian and she said

"Yeah he is." Trent softly said

"I know you love him, you have since we were all kids, and you're secret is safe with me Rach. And I should probably tell you that Sebastian is actually my room mate. I know out of me, Seb and Thad, Seb would have wanted you in mine and his dorm and not Thad's." Rachel was confused, sat up, looked at Trent and said

"What do you mean Trent?" Trent gave a smile and said

"I mean if I'm being honest I think Sebastian loves you back." Rachel was in disbelief and said

"I don't think so, I'm no beauty queen like Santana and Quinn. They're more his type not me. they're everyone's type especially Finn's since he's always going back to Quinn and decided that Santana needs protecting considering he lied to me about being involved with her and said it was no big deal because I was with Jesse when he hooked up with her." Trent felt for Rachel, and hated Quinn, Santana and Finn a lot for what they do to her. Trent wiped Rachel eyes and said

"I know Seb, and so do you and Harwood. You're his type Rachie. Trust me on this. Now while we wait for Seb and Thad to come up and bring pizza, we can watch disney movies together and pitch perfect as well and yes you can sing along to them all like you always do." Rachel smiled widely at Trent's request and said

"Thank you Trent. and Thank you, Sebby and Thad for helping me back at the tree loft." Trent kissed Rachel's forehead as he stood up to get everything for their small movie nights and everything to help Rachel feel comfortable, safe and warm and said

"Anything for you Rachie."
