156. Right Where I Belong

Rachel was comforting an upset Sebastian in her apartment and softly singing the songs from Singing in the Rain to him and gently doing forehead kisses to try and cheer him up before he goes and spends time with Thad, Blaine and Hunter at his and Thad's apartment. The reason Sebastian is upset was because Santana had dumped him all because the ring he used to propose to her was not a diamond one but a family heirloom from his nana and his mum, and Sebastian thought he knew her and thought she just wanted to be with him and not because of his money.

Unbeknownst to Sebastian, Rachel has feelings for him and was in love with him. Rachel always loved Sebastian for Sebastian, and sees him more than just a pretty face and money. Rachel fell in love with Sebastian and not his money at all. Rachel had fallen in love with him when they were kids running around the park in France, Rachel's love and feelings for Sebastian just grew even more when they grew up and moved to Ohio together.

It always broke Rachel's heart that Sebastian didn't see her because he was mesmerised by the other girls like Santana being glamorous. It always made Rachel sad but like she always did when Sebastian dated other girls, Rachel kept her silent dreams to herself and put on a fake smile to show how happy she really was for Sebastian even though in reality she wasn't okay at seeing Sebastian with others girls especially Santana who was a really big gold digger and was only with Sebastian for his money. Rachel loved and knew Sebastian. And like always after a break up Rachel was always there to pick up the pieces of Sebastian's broken heart.

Rachel has always believed that her feelings and love for Sebastian were hidden but it really wasn't because Thad, Nick, Puck and Blaine knew about Rachel being in love with Sebastian, and how much it pains her every day that Sebastian doesn't notice her. 

Sebastian just thought that Rachel was being a good friend to him because everything Rachel did for him he would see Nick and Jeff do for each other and see Trent and Blaine do that to each other and always saw and heard Nick and Jeff singing to each other too.

Thad was tired of seeing Rachel heartbroken and tired of Sebastian not seeing Rachel and not realising his own feelings towards his best friends. Thad decided to take matters into his own hands to get Sebastian's head out of his ass and do something about it. What Sebastian thinks Niff and Trent and Blaine is just friendly is actually because they were dating and Thad knew that but Sebastian didn't.

Thad was in his living room playing video games with Sebastian, Hunter and Blaine waiting for their taxi to turn up when took a quick glance towards Sebastian sitting next to him and said

"I heard Niff had a good date the other night, apparently it ended with the film the Titanic and Duval having to cuddle Sterling to make sure he was okay, even gave him forehead kisses and softly sang to him to cheer him." At that statement Blaine knew Thad was doing and continued

"It did Trent and I were with them on a double date, I did the same thing to Trent, because you know how he is with sad movies." Sebastian listened to what Thad and Blaine had said, and NOW knew that Niff and Blaine and Trent did those things because they were in a relationship and in love with each other.

As he listened to them it made him rethink everything with Rachel.

Rachel and Sebastian were 10 and in Sebastian's tree house playing go fish when Sebastian out of nowhere leaned forward and quickly pecked her lips.

Sebastian kissed the top of Rachel's head as she hugged Sebastian's toy elephant, because he was trying  to cheer her up after Finn had dumped her for Quinn and started softly singing the Funny Girl songs to her to cheer her up.

Rachel kissed Sebastian's forehead after another break up.

It was the summer where Rachel's parents had gotten divorce and she had gone to Sebastian crying in his arms. Sebastian held her tight and told her it would be okay. Sebastian never left her side at all. Sebastian took her out for awhile and took her somewhere he knew that she would love and enjoy herself.  he lead Rachel to a local cafe where they were holding Funny Girl sing alongs, and he tapped just for her and he saw her smile widely at him and cheer for him.

As Sebastian was reminded of that, a smile formed on his lips and without meaning to say it out loud 

"I'm in love with Rachel." 

Thad, Blaine and Hunter had heard him. while Hunter was shocked and surprised Blaine was happy and Thad smiled widely and said

"Go get off our couch and go to Rachel. Get your girl. Rachel loves you back." Sebastian was shocked and scrambles to feet and softly

"What if I'm too late?" Thad shook his head at Sebastian as he pushes him out their door and said

"Rachel has waited for you to love her back ever since you were kids. You will never be too late Rachel."

Thad was proud of himself at what he had and gave Blaine and Hunter a hi five and said

"Now it's all up to them."

Sebastian reached Rachel's apartment and knocks her door.

Rachel was confused as she wasn't expect anyone to come over and on top of that she didn't really want to answer her door because she was in her comfortable clothes and looked terrible. She placed her vegan pistachio ice cream down and walked to her door to open it and she was greeted with Sebastian on the other side.

Sebastian stepped forward a little, placed a hand on Rachel's neck and the other on her check and softly whispers to her

"I hope I'm not too late." Before Rachel could saying anything Sebastian had placed his lips on hers. She was shocked and didn't know what to do. Sebastian pulled away to look at her and said

"I love you. I'm sorry it took so long for me to realise my feelings for you, and I'm also sorry for hurting you with being with other girls." Rachel looked at him and started to wonder

"Do you really mean it? You did JUST break up with Santana who you swore you would marry." Sebastian looked at her seriously and said

"I mean it. I realised with talking to Thad, Blaine and Hunter that I was always in love with you and I just didn't see it, and dumping Santana made him open his eyes too. And if me confessing my love for you right now is to do with Santana I wouldn't be here I would still be with Thad at mine and his place with Hunter and Blaine over waiting to go to a bar instead of being here with you." Rachel stood her toes and kissed him, when they pulled apart she looked at him and said

"So Thad made you get your head of your ass and do something." Sebastian walked in, closed the door, picked up Rachel who instantly wrapped her legs around his waist and carried her to her room and he said

"He did. I was reminded of our first kiss in my tree house, our last night in France together before we came here and I was also reminded of being there for you when your parents divorced. and dumping Santana made me realise how little I knew of her and how I knew everything about you. And I'd much rather be with someone who I know everything about than be with someone who I hardly know." As Sebastian laid on top of Rachel on her bed and looked at her. He knew that Rachel would love his mum's ring no matter what. 

Rachel laid underneath Sebastian, and placed her hands on his chest and said

"I love you too Sebby, and you are never too late for me." Sebastian then leaned down and kissed her once more and knew that like always he was right where he belonged.

A few years later Sebastian had proposed to Rachel with his mum's ring and like he always knew Rachel appreciated it and loved it. And on their wedding day Thad was Sebastian's best man and also the god father of their unborn baby that no-one but Sebastian's parents and Rachel's dad Leroy knew about.
