Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

157. Arranged- Part 1

Sebastian was 18 and in his parents eyes it meant that Sebastian was old enough to get married. Sebastian had always known since the age of 14 years old that when he turned 18 he was to be engaged to be married. and as much as he didn't want to be he knew he had to go through with it. Another thing Sebastian has always known since he was 16 is that the girl he is supposed to marry and be engaged to is Rachel Berry and Rachel has also always known that when Sebastian turned 18 that she and him were to be engaged and to get married, something her dads were all for since she was 15 years old. Sebastian and Rachel were always told to save themselves for each other on their wedding night, something Sebastian knew Jesse and Finn didn't understand.

With Sebastian now 18 Rachel knew that she had to dump Finn so she can be with Sebastian, and she was dumping Finn in front of the Warblers because she knows exactly how Finn gets when she rejects him and if anything happened she knew that the Warblers especially Sebastian, Thad, Trent, Nick and Hunter would step in

Sebastian sat with Thad and Hunter at the lima bean watching and listening to Rachel and Finn, and Rachel rejecting Finn's proposal and Rachel breaking up with Finn.

"I can't Finn." Finn was getting upset and said

"you can't what sleep with me or be engaged to me?" Rachel took a deep breath and said

"Both. I can't be with you Finn. I just can't." Finn stood up angrily and put his hands on the table scaring her and said

"Why can't you? There's always a reason Rachel. You always come to me. Always. I'm the one you love, so tell me why you can't be with me." Finn was scaring her, and the Warblers knew it. Hunter began to stand up with Thad, Sebastian, Nick and Trent when Rachel nervously spoke to him

"Because I'm already engaged to be married Finn. it's been like that and planned since I was 15, and he was 16. he and I  to wait until he turned 18, and now he has, so he and I are officially engaged to be married and my dads always told me to save myself for him. So I can't be with you Finn, I'm really sorry this has been set in stone for a long time and you can't change it." Finn was getting angry and Rachel knew that and he was about raise his hand when she heard

"That's quite enough. You should leave. Rachel said no and she has another beau, you should leave." Rachel knew that the voice belonged to Sebastian. Finn stormed out angrily leaving Rachel with Sebastian, Nick, Trent, Thad and Hunter. 

Sebastian shooed Nick, Trent, Thad and Hunter away and sat down with Rachel at her table. They sat in silence, and Sebastian spoke

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry that you have to be with me Rachel really I am. and I'm sorry that we don't have much of a choice." Rachel shook her head slightly and said

"Don't worry about it Sebastian, really. I know it may seem weird but I am glad that I'm arranged to be married to you. it saves me from Finn and his controlling, pressuring and possessive ways, at least I know with you Sebastian you won't be controlling, pressuring or possessive towards me." Sebastian reached for her hand and said

"I'm your Flash then Broadway." Sebastian squeezed Rachel's hand and said

"We should probably get ready for our engagement party at my parents place, where I have to propose to you in front of our parents, I'll buy your dress and then take you home so you can get ready." Rachel nodded her head and said

"We probably should and thank you Sebastian." The two stood up and walked to Sebastian's car and drove to the mall for Rachel's dress. On the way there, Sebastian took the opportunity of them being alone to ask

"How do you really feel about our arrangement?" Rachel didn't give much thought but when Finn proposed to her it made it real that she and Sebastian were be wed together, and when Finn asked the question it made her uncomfortable and she felt very awkward but when she knows Sebastian is going to ask her, she's excited for it.

"Honestly. I know it isn't ideal because its not our choice it's our parents but I can't deny that I'm not nervous because I am nervous it's a big step for both of us, and we aren't together at all, we don't love each other, we only like each other and we are still high school too. And I'm nervous for everything for us. What about you Sebastian, how do you feel about it all?" Sebastian was surprised by Rachel's honest answer, but it pained him when he heard that she didn't love him and he said

"Honestly I'm like you Broadway." Sebastian couldn't tell her everything, because his truth was he is in love with her, he just didn't know how to tell her.

A short while later Sebastian walking down the stairs from his room at his parents place, and he saw his parents waiting for him. His mum handed him and small jewelry box with an engagement ring inside so he could use it propose to Rachel. Sebastian softly spoke

"Would it be okay if I use my Warbler ring instead. I think it would be more meaningful for her." His shook her head and said

"It's my mother's ring. You could use your Warbler ring as a wedding ring for her." Sebastian hated not having a say, but he didn't say a thing. Sebastian accepted the ring box and went to the door when the door bell had rung. He opened it and saw Rachel with her dads, and Sebastian took one look at Rachel in the dress in he had brought her earlier and to Sebastian she looked beautiful, he couldn't stop staring at her as he let them all in.

After the meal was eaten, Rachel knew what time it was. It was time for Sebastian to ask for her hand in marriage in front of their parents. Rachel turned in her seat to face Sebastian who was kneeling in front of her, and he said

"Rachel will you marry me?" Rachel gave him a smile and said

"Of course." Sebastian stood Rachel up and hugged her as their parents clapped their hands.
