Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

65. Reason to smile.

A/N: I got this idea from an Instagram post.

Rachel was cooped up in Sebastian's dorm, cuddling him, as she was spending the night with him because Sebastian had won his lacrosse game and wanted to only celebrate with his girlfriend Rachel. It was moments like these that Rachel and Sebastian cherished the most, where it is just them in his dorm with no interruptions, it was the little things that mattered the most to them, just being together and the little things that they loved the most.

As Rachel cuddled up to Sebastian, she sighed happily and contently in his arms, and just laid her head on chest as she hears his beating heart she smiled as she heard it and  smiled knowing that Sebastian would be smiling as he had started to play with her hair. She hugged him tight said

"Sebastian, what's your reason to smile?" As Sebastian laid there with Rachel in his arms, he pondered her question that he had always knew the answer to. He kissed her hair, and started continue to play and tangle his fingers in her chocolate brown hair and said

"I didn't really have a reason to smile, I was bullying people to get attention from my parents because they didn't really show it to me and I always thought that was the way to get it, I accidentally hurt one of my best friends, and I hurt the one person I didn't want to hurt which resulted me in almost losing them because of my actions and behaviour and I don't know what I would have done if I lost them." Sebastian then sat up on his bed, and brought Rachel closer to him and said

"But then I met you and everything changed for the better."Rachel sat up, looked at him and said

"How so?" Sebastian smiled at her, lifted his hand, caressed her cheek, traced her lips with his finger, kissed her and then said

"You didn't just give me a reason to smile Rachel, you gave a reason to live a reason to believe, because without you, I'd still be desperate for my parents attention, i would still be bullying and hurting people, especially your friends, and I wouldn't believe in love and if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have you, and whenever I'm with you, talk about you or just even thinking about you, I smile." Rachel smiled lovingly at Sebastian, as she leaned into his touch and became emotional with tears. Sebastian wiped away his girlfriend's tears from her eyes and said

"I guess, you gave me the happiness I lost back." Sebastian smiled, leaned forward and whispered against her lips

"So that's why I smile." Sebastian kissed her once more, before laying down, and cuddling her and cherishing the sweet moments that he always has with his girlfriend and being grateful that Rachel is all his, As Rachel laid in his arms hearing his heart beating in his chest while he played and tangled his fingers in her hair once more, she slowly closed her eyes, as she smiled to herself knowing that she is the reason for Sebastian Smythe to smile.
