Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

136. Warbler Reunion.

Jeff sat in the living room with Trent in their shared apartment with Jeff's boyfriend Nick who was at work, and was scrolling through instagram and saw Blaine's posts and photos about the New Directions had a reunion, and it made him wonder when the Warbler one was. Jeff looked up at Trent who was working from home and asked

"Hey when is our Warbler reunion?" Trent replied never looking away from his screen

"We don't have one Jeff." Jeff was shocked and said

"We should have one." Trent finally looked away from his computer at Jeff and said

"And where exactly would we have it Jeff, Dalton burnt down remember and we wouldn't exactly be welcomed at Mckinley to do a reunion of any kind." Jeff knew Trent was right and said

"But you're on the school board Trent, can't you find somewhere." Trent closed his lap top and said

"I am on the school board but so are you. If you want a warbler reunion, how about you find a place on where to have it, and maybe we could invite Rachel too. Since McKinley and her glee club never appreciated her or even respected her and the teachers there except Sue let her get bullied and when you find a place I'll help you, and I'm sure Nick would help you too." Jeff smiled widely, then rushed to his and Nick's room and started searching for places.

An hour later Jeff rushed out to Trent with laptop in hand and said

"What about the Lima Bean?" Trent looked at it and said

"We can do the Lima Bean, it will be more easier to hire out for the night plus bigger space than breadstixs and we can move the tables and chairs about to make more room, plus Seb wouldn't be able to say no to coming since the Lima Bean provided his favourite coffee and his favourite view. Jeff you brilliant fool you found the perfect place. Now let's get it work, maybe we can make Smytheberry finally happen." Jeff smiled widely at him and said

"Why do you think I want a warbler reunion Trent, and all for inviting Rachel?" Trent smiled and said

"Jeff you sneaky blonde. Come on let's get to work, and we can fill Nick in later when he comes home."

Months later Sebastian walked into his apartment that he shared with Thad, they used to share with Hunter but Hunter got himself a girlfriend and decided to move in with Quinn two months ago. He walked into the kitchen when Thad said

"Niff and Trent have organised a warbler reunion at the Lima Bean, if you're interested." Sebastian started making a coffee and said

"I'm down, you know I never turn down Lima Bean coffee." Thad smirked and said

"Or the Lima Bean view. You know they're inviting her right, and from what Nixon said she RSVP'd yes." Sebastian blushed and said

"Her who?" Thad gave Sebastian a really look and said

"Don't play dumb, you know the her I'm talking about. You think I don't know that you love Rachel. Everyone at Dalton knew, even Blaine and Lopez knew. Why you never said anything I have no idea and I know you still love her Seb." Sebastian sighed and said

"I don't." Thad shook his head and said

"Yes you do. When you ran out of your wedding to that crazied psycho who thought you were Grant Gustin for the first three months of you guys dating and told everyone that she was dating Grant Gustin and got you to propose to her within a month, you went to New York, and you could have gone to any diner but you went to the spotlight diner where you know Rachel worked. So cut the crap Seb, you can't lie or bullshit to me. I'm your best friend." Sebastian was quiet and then he said

"What does it matter, she's with someone else and will probably turn up with him at the Warbler reunion." Thad smiled and said

"No she isn't. Blaine said her and Brody broke up because of Finn and Santana." Sebastian looked at Thad and he said

"Long story, and if you ask me Lopez and Hudson had no right to interfere." As Thad said that, Sebastian realised what he said

"Rachel's single?"  Thad nodded his head and said

"That's what Blaine said. Now is your chance to woo her and ask her out Smythe. Don't be too slow." Sebastian took a deep breath and said

"I won't."

A week later Sebastian arrived at the Lima Bean with Thad for the Warbler reunion and saw that Rachel was already there, and talking to Trent, Nick and Jeff. Sebastian couldn't believe that Rachel was here and Sebastian couldn't take his eyes off her.

Trent saw Sebastian staring at Rachel, and formed a little plan in his head and said to Rachel

"Rach, why don't you and I have a dance?" Rachel gladly accepted as she suspected that Nick and Jeff wanted to be alone. Trent wanted to know if Rachel felt the same as Sebastian. Trent and Rachel dancer together and said

"I couldn't help but notice that you are the attention of someone's eye, and have been for quite some time if you ask me." Rachel was confused and subtly and slowly looked around and her eyes then landed on Sebastian who was talking to Thad. Rachel tried to supress her feelings for the former bad boy a long time a go, because of Finn and her former team. She didn't even go to the New Directions reunion because why would she, yes she was captain of the group in the past but why would she go where everyone but Blaine, Puck and Sam hated her and bullied her.

As Rachel and Trent slowly finished dancing, Rachel softly said

"I put my feelings that I had for him away long ago. It's better if it stayed that way." As she said that they heard

"Why should it stay that way Broadway?" Rachel knew that voice, she turned and saw Sebastian now standing behind her and Trent now leaving them to talk.

Rachel looked at him and said

"I do love you Sebastian, but if people from my old team no matter if we are out of highschool or not knew, they would hate me, and shun me. And the only three people that won't is Noah, Sam and Blaine." Sebastian hugged Rachel and said

"Why do you think Niff and Nixon invited you to the warbler reunion and notice Hummel's not here even though he was once a warbler and that it's only Quinn who is with Hunter and won't actually care. The warblers respect you Rachel and they adore and love you too. You're a warbler by heart, and screw what your old team mates say, you're a grown woman, and the only people you really do class as your friends is Evans, Anderson and Puckerman." Rachel knew Sebastian was right and she did something that she has always wanted to do, even last year when he visited her in New York.

Rachel kissed Sebastian and Sebastian kissed Rachel back and passionately and said

"I love you too."

Sebastian and Rachel stayed there in the middle of the Lima Bean slowly dancing together not wanting the night to end and noone dared to disturb them because after all those missed opportunities Smytheberry were finally together and happy and what Smytheberry didn't know was that this time the following year at the Eiffel tower in Paris Sebastian would propose with his grandmother's heirloom ring.

Niff and Trent were happy with themselves that their plan for Smytheberry worked and Jeff was happy that the warblers finally had their reunion.
