Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

80. I don't know how to tell you.

Quinn was in the choir room as she ditched second period, which meant she was the only one in there, so she decided to messaging her boyfriend Hunter, when Rachel walked in with tears in her eyes. She looked at her when she heard the soft cries. Quinn walked up to her, as she was concerned for her best friend and said

"Rach, are you okay? It's only me in here with you. Truthfully I ditched second so I could message my boyfriend Hunter." Rachel wiped her eyes and looked up at Quinn and said

"You're dating Hunter Clarington?" Quinn nodded her head and said

"It's very new. So what's wrong Rachel? You can tell me." Rachel pondered if she should tell Quinn what was wrong, she walked over to the seats, and decided that she would tell her. Rachel wiped her eyes as she sat down and said

"Two months, I started something I shouldn't have, but it feels right, and I love him and now something upsetting has happened, and I don't know how to tell him." Quinn walked over and sat next to her friend, and said

"Started what with who, and what has happened?" Rachel looked next to her and said

"I started dating Sebastian Smythe. Hunter and Thad's best friend. I love him Quinn. You have to understand that. A month a go he and I were intimate for the first time. It felt really right. Well more right." Quinn took Rachel's hand as she continued

"But that's not all. Three weeks after we were intimate I found out I was pregnant." Quinn wiped Rachel's eyes and said

"Have you told Sebastian?" Rachel nodded her head and said

"Yeah I have, and he was so happy when I told him. Really happy. You should have seen him when I told him, his bright wide smile but also emotional too." Quinn was happy for her best friend, and she said

"Then whats the problem Rachel. What has made you so upset. Did Santana find out?" Rachel shook her head and said

"No she hasn't. At least I don't think she has. But that's not why I'm upset." Tears started to fall down Rachel's face once again and she said

"Do you really want to know?" Quinn nodded her head and said

"I do want to know Rach." Rachel took a deep breath and said

"I woke up this morning, and there was blood on my sheets." Rachel cried even harder and said

"I miscarried Quinn and I don't know how to tell Sebastian I did. He was so happy about it. That he and I told the warblers first . Who were happy for us too." Quinn was shocked, and held her best friend as she cried. She hugged her best friend tight and said

"I can take you to dalton and we can tell Sebastian together if you like." Rachel wiped her eyes and said

"I would like that." Both girls stood up, walked out the choir room and walked to Quinn's car, and she said to Rachel as they got inside the car

"I'll drive Hunt to get your car a bit later." Rachel nodded her head as they sat quietly on the way to dalton. When they arrived Rachel walked inside linked arms and Rachel said

"Could you get Sebastian to come to his dorm please? I feel like I should tell him away from everyone, he would be in the warbler room studying." Quinn hugged Rachel tight and said

"Of course Rach. I'll even get you a pass for the rest of the week too." Rachel was grateful for her best friend, she hugged Quinn back equally as tight, and then pulled away to walk to Sebastian's dorm that he shared with Hunter. Quinn watched her best friend walk to the dorm, she felt for the girl after all, she knew that her best friend would have made a really good mum. Quinn then turned and walked to the warbler room to seek out Sebastian. She knocked on the open door, where Sebastian, nick, Trent and Hunter looked up and saw her.

Sebastian was worried that Quinn found out that he is dating Rachel. And in that moment, hunter smiled at them and said

"Guys, this is Quinn. My girlfriend, who I was just telling you about." Quinn smiled and blushed as she heard that Hunter talks about her. Quinn walked in and said

"I met them already." Quinn then turns to Sebastian and said

"I'm the only one that knows at McKinley about you and Rachel. She told me earlier. Secret is safe with me, and if anyone in the new directions find out and give her grief. I will stand up for you both." Sebastian was relieved at what had Quinn just told them, and said

"You also know about mine and Rachel's baby then?" Quinn nodded her head slowly, and Sebastian saw her start to tear up, and he said

"Q, what is it?" Quinn took a deep breath and said

"Rachel has to tell you, she's in yours and hunter's dorm right now waiting for you." Sebastian quickly stood up, and then rushed to his dorm. Hunter looked at her and said

"Sweetie what is it?" Quinn looked at Hunter and said

"It's not my place to say, she wants to tell Sebastian first." Hunter, Trent and Nick understood perfectly and let Quinn stay with them in the warbler room. Sebastian walked into his dorm, and saw Rachel in tears. He walked over to her, hugged her tight and said

"Pretty girl what is it?" Rachel looked up at Sebastian as he wiped her eyes and said

"I don't know how to tell you this, but.... i lost our baby Sebastian. I miscarried. I woke up this morning and there was blood on my sheets." Sebastian hugged Rachel tight. He held her for so long as tears start to fall from his eyes and said

"It's going to be okay Rachie, we will get through this together, I promise Rachie. I promise." Rachel stayed in Sebastian's arms not wanting to leave them at all, believing everything word, and stopped shaking when Sebastian started singing you are my sunshine to her.

A few years later after the tragedy, Rachel gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who they named Thaddeus Hunter Smythe. After his two god dads who with the help of Quinn helped Rachel and Sebastian a lot and helped them get through their miscarriage in high school, which meant everything to them.
