Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

148. Sebastian's 18th

It was Sebastian's 18th birthday. And his dad gave Dalton extra donations on the condition they let Sebastian celebrate his birthday however he wanted and the Dalton headmaster agreed as long as the drinks provided were non alcoholic. So here Sebastian was at Scandals with non alcoholic beverages celebrating his 18 birthday with the warblers, Blaine, Kurt, Puck and Sam and also his long-time childhood friend Rachel and unbeknownst to Rachel, Sebastian has harboured a crush on her since they were kids and has been in love with her since before he knew what love was and for his 18th birthday he plans to have Rachel by his side the entire time and find the courage to tell her how he feels.

Rachel spent the whole night at Scandals being by Sebastian's side just like how Sebastian planned for it to happen, until one of the warblers came up to her and asked her to dance with him on the dance floor.

"Would you like to have a dance Rachel?" Rachel smiled at Trent, and happily took his hand

"Of course Trent."

Trent lead Rachel to the dance floor and started with her.

"Someone seems to have the eye of the birthday boy." Rachel blushed lightly and said

"He and I are just friends Trent. We grew up together."

Trent gave her a really look and said

"You two shared each other's first kiss and your first time together." Rachel blushed an even darker shade of red having forgot that she had told Trent those small details

"And even the elevator at the mall after he had brought you a dress for the dalton mixer." Rachel blushed at the memory of that one, and always cherished the Dalton mixer.

"You two also spent a long time in the broom closet when the warblers played 7 minutes in heaven to try and get Niff together." Rachel and Sebastian never told anyone what had happened that day.

"And after regionals you two disappeared for a while doing goodness knows what." Rachel didn't like to think about that day because had dumped her after asking her to marry him.

"And when we had the Michael off. You two couldn't stop staring at each other and when Blaine went down you chased after Sebastian to see if he was okay." Noone but Rachel saw how devastated Sebastian really was after it happened or even saw how scared he was when Kurt yelled, it made Rachel concern for him because it wasn't Sebastian's fault that Blaine was in the wrong place at the wrong time noone told Blaine to jump in front of the slushie, and it was meant for Kurt's or Finn's clothing not their eyes. She was devastated that Blaine got hurt but it was Blaine's fault that he did get hurt not Sebastian's because Sebastian never told Blaine to jump in front and get the impact, he wasn't even meant to get their eyes let alone Blaine. Rachel was upset that noone saw it as Blaine's fault and just all blamed Sebastian. It upset her and she saw how upset Sebastian really was because of what happened, it's part of the reason why she and Finn broke up.

Rachel saw it as being there for her friend and taking Sebastian's side in what happened because noone told Blaine to jump in front and how was Sebastian meant to know that Blaine had jumped in front and couldn't exactly stop the slushie from being thrown in the process of Blaine jumping in front. Finn saw it as Rachel choosing Sebastian and accused her of cheating on him with Sebastian himself the entire relationship with him when she never did anything of a sort with Sebastian while she was with Finn.

"Seems more than just friends to me. You owe it to yourself to be happy Rach. Go to him and be happy and screw what everyone else thinks."

After hearing Trent's words, Rachel glanced behind her to look at Sebastian who had his back turned to her drinking non alcoholic drinks at the bar. She thought about what Trent had said as she watched Sebastian stand up and leave the bar and walk outside.

Rachel made the quick decision and followed him outside and saw him standing by the building. She walked over to him and asked

"Are you doing okay?" Sebastian nodded his head and said

"I just came out for some fresh air." Rachel looked at him, stood on her tip toes and started to lean forward.

Sebastian looked at her and said

"What are you doing Streisand?"

Rachel smiled at him and said

"Something that should have happened a long time ago, and giving in to destiny, I can't deny this anymore Sebby." Rachel then placed her lips on Sebastian's and kissed passionately and full of love.

Sebastian's heart sang and he continued to kiss her all over and when they pulled apart Sebastian took her hand and lead her to the Limo he had hired for her and him only for the night where Sebastian kept kissing her and pulling her close to him not wanting to lose her.

They pulled apart for air catching their breaths and it was Sebastian that spoke to first

"I love you. I have for a long time since we were kids and since before I knew what love was."

Rachel was shocked at Sebastian's confession and kissed him once again just the Limo driver reached Dalton and she said

"I love you too Sebby." Sebastian smiled widely, took her hand, got out the car and then lead her inside the building and up to his dorm where they could shut the world out and just be with each other.

They cuddled each other through the night and exchanging small kisses here and there wishing the night would never end.

Sebastian hugged a sleeping Rachel in his arms and kissed her forehead as she slept and kept thinking that his 18th birthday was the best birthday so far because he had finally got his girl, the love of his life and he was never letting her go and he fell asleep beside her thinking about all their precious moments they had previously shared together.
