Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

95. Graduation

Rachel was in her kitchen waiting for Sebastian to come over, she was planning a special date for him, as she wanted him to be the first to know she got into NYADA. She doesn't know how he will take it, but worst of all she has been putting off telling him cherishing the moments she has with him before she leaves. Rachel didn't want to say goodbye but she knew she had to, especially to Sebastian since he has to finish his senior year.

A few minutes later Rachel heard a knock on the door, when she answered she saw Sebastian. She let him in, and showed him the direction of her room while she went back to the kitchen, completely forgetting that her NYADA acceptance letter was in plain sight. Sebastian walked into Rachel's room, and when he placed his bag down, he saw her letter. He walked over and picked it up, and read that she had gotten. Sebastian was upset that Rachel didn't tell him, or if she was going to tell him. He walked down to her, held up her letter and said

"Why didn't you tell me, were you ever going to tell me?" Rachel turned and saw Sebastian standing with tears in his tears holding her acceptance letter. Rachel turned off the stove and ovens, and then said

"I was going to tell you, I was going to tell you tonight. I had put off telling you for so long, that I couldn't take you not knowing at all. There were so many times where I wanted to tell you, but I couldn't because I wanted to cherish all the time I had with you." Sebastian was even more upset that she kept putting it off and he said

"I don't think we can be together, we wouldn't be able to make long distance especially since I'll be here finishing my senior year." As he said that there was a silence between them, as they knew their relationship wouldn't have lasted at all, Rachel wiped her tears and said to him

"Would you at least come to my graduation, it would mean a lot to me if you did." Sebastian looked at her and said

"I don't know."

That was a three days ago. Rachel was still very raw from the break up, and she misses him a lot, and she really hoped that Sebastian was here today at her graduation, she wanted to see him one last time before she went to New York for NYADA.

Nick, Jeff and Trent walked in the warbler room and saw Sebastian burying himself in books. They knew he should be at Rachel's graduation. They walked over to him, and Nick said

"Dude, What are you still doing here?" And before he could jeff said

"And don't say studying." Trent then sat next to him and said

"Shouldn't you be at Rachel's graduation." Sebastian looked up and said

"Rachel and I broke up three days ago and yes I miss her." Trent, Nick and Jeff looked at each other concerned and then at their captain and Nick said

"Why did you two break up, I thought everything was good." Sebastian sighed and said

"Do you really want to know?" Jeff sat on the other side of Sebastian and said

"Why yes we do." Sebastian looked at them and said

"I found her NYADA letter, she got in. She didn't tell me, she was putting it off from telling me, and long distance never works I'll be here finishing my senior year, while she is in New York." Trent looked at Sebastian and said

"You're an idiot, the reason she would have put off telling you is because she loves you so much that she didn't want anything to end with you, she knew that you were staying here and she was going to New York, but she didn't tell you because she was afraid to be away from you." When Trent said that Sebastian hadn't realised Rachel was putting off telling him because she loved him and was afraid. Nick then looked at him and said

"And you could always follow her to New York and finish your senior year there. Dalton will always be here, and we will always be friends." Sebastian looked at the boys and said

"Guys I think I made a mistake, I need to fix this." Sebastian stood up and raced out of dalton to go to McKinley for Rachel, while calling his dad about moving to a school in New York close to NYADA in the process, and Nick, Jeff and Trent knew that they would miss their former bad boy

Rachel was in the hallway waiting for Blaine to come back before she walked on the stage to graduate. Blaine walked over to Rachel and said

"Sorry Rach. He's not here." Rachel looked down and then at Blaine and said

"I thought he would be here, three years of everything he and I went through, I thought he would at least be here for me one last time, but he let me down, and now I won't ever get to say a proper goodbye to him." Blaine felt for the girl and hugged her tight. They pulled apart the hug, as Blaine wiped her tears as her name was called from Coach Sue Sylvester and he said

"The stage at McKinley awaits you one last time Miss Berry." After the graduation ceremony Rachel walked to her locker, to clean it out. While she was cleaning it out she turned to put rubbish in the bin, and she did, she saw Sebastian running down the hall. She prayed that she wasn't dreaming. Sebastian ran up to her, gathering her in his arms. He kissed her and said

"I love you, and I never want to leave you." Rachel looked at him and said

"What about your senior year?" Sebastian gave Rachel a real smile and said

"How do you feel about a roommate?" Rachel was shocked, and he continued

"I rang my dad as I was leaving dalton to come here, and he's letting me finish my senior year in New York, with a school close to NYADA because I want to be with you pretty girl." Rachel stood on her toes and kissed him. She knew that she and Sebastian were in it for the long haul.
