Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

74. Baby Project Part 2

Sebastian and Rachel spent nearly every day with the fake baby they named Maria after Rachel's West Side Story Role. It was Sebastian's idea, and Rachel agreed to it, as she loved the name. When they first started as a pair, Rachel was annoyed and upset and Sebastian was grateful, but the more they spent time together after school and in glee because of their fake child, Rachel saw a side of him that she has never seen before, his sweet, caring, protective and funny side.

Rachel was even more shocked and surprised when Sebastian had defended her against Santana's and Quinn's torments outside of the class, and for some unknown reason, Rachel felt safe with him, which surprised her even more considering Sebastian did blackmail her and almost blinded Blaine with a slushy, but the more she got to know the former bad boy, she wondered if it had been something more than just a silly prank gone wrong. Rachel was currently in her living sitting across from Sebastian on the ground, after they had a tickle fight, in which Rachel would say she won, but it was Sebastian who let her win, as they sat down, they decided to ask each 5 questions each, and Sebastian was on his fourth question

Rachel drank some of her coffee, placed it on the coffee table, and he asked

"Rach, can I ask, why did you send Sunshine to an inactive crack house?" Rachel looked at him and said

"Because I was scared." Sebastian was confused and said

"Scared?" Rachel nodded her head and said

"Scared that everyone will like her more than me which isn't that hard, she was so much prettier than me, and her voice was so much stronger than mine too. I was afraid that she could have replaced me in the glee club." Sebastian looked at her with sadness and said

"No-one could ever replace you Rach. Finn is an idiot." Rachel felt better and cheered up a little at Sebastian's words. They stared at each other for a long time, before the noise of crying tore the eyes away from each other, and they turned and saw that it was Maria. Rachel stood up, walked over to her and picked up.

As she did Sebastian looked at her, and thought about the moment they had. He will admit that he had thought about kissing her all the time, even when he used to be at Dalton. As Sebastian watched her, he started picturing the future with Rachel in it by his side, and what it would be like to be an actual family with her, but that will only happen if he admitted his feelings to her. Rachel sat across from Sebastian once more, and she said

"My turn to ask you a series of questions." Sebastian placed his cup next to Rachel's said

"Ask away Broadway." Rachel thought about her question and then said

"Why did you slushy Blaine?" Sebastian looked at her and said

"I didn't mean to hurt Blaine, I only put rock salt in it so it would stay cold in the transportation. But I didn't mean to hurt him, I was aiming for Finn, and then Kurt. But Blaine got in the way." Rachel knew that he didn't mean to get Blaine, she knew that because Sebastian and Blaine were best friends. Rachel thought about her next question, and she said

"Why were you aiming for Kurt, Finn I understand, but Kurt?" Sebastian was silent and he then said

"He said something that annoyed me." Rachel looked at Sebastian and said

"Last question." Sebastian was confused, as they agreed to 5 questions but he knew the question she was going to ask, and he then said

"Ask it." Rachel took a deep breath and said

"Why did you blackmail me?" And before Sebastian could answer, they had to see to their fake child. Sebastian stood up, walked over to Maria. Contemplating on whether he should Rachel the truth about why he was aiming for Kurt, and why he blackmailed her, but he was worried that she wouldn't see him the same way. He picked up Maria, and then walked back over to Rachel, and sat across from her once more, and he said

"Do you really want to know Rachel?" Rachel nodded her head and said

"Yes I do, Sebastian." Sebastian looked at her and said

"It's because I'm in love with you." Rachel was shocked, and stuttered

"Y-you're i-in l-love w-with m-me?" Sebastian nodded his head and said

"How could I not be, you're beautiful, talented and you have the biggest heart in your glee club, and not to mention that you are only one that challenges me and has a comeback to my witty remarks that I made. I was aiming for Kurt because he told me to stay away from you, that you would never fall for a guy like me." At those words, Rachel became annoyed with Kurt, thinking that he had a say who she could love, and Sebastian continued

"And I blackmailed you, so you and Finn could break up, I never wanted you to drop out of regionals, if I did want that, I wouldn't get to hear you sing. Finn had you, and I hated that he did Broadway." Rachel was quiet and Sebastian said

"I understand if you don't feel the same way. I just had to tell you." As Rachel was silent, she thought back to all those times she and Sebastian had an encounter with each other, and realised maybe that he was actually flirting with her. Rachel looked at him as he held their "Child" and realised that he is what she wants, and that seeing him with their "Child" is what she wants too a family someday with him. Rachel made the bold decision, by leaning over and kissing him. Rachel gently takes the child out of Sebastian's hands and said

"I want you. I do feel the same way Sebastian. More than you will ever know." Sebastian smiled, kissed her, and said

"I love you Rach." As he said that, they heard their "Child" cry, and they both went to her knowing some day in the future that they will have an actual child of their own.
