86. The exact moment they fell in love

Rachel laid wide awake in her boyfriend of four years, Sebastian Smythe's arms looking at him while he slept peacefully in their New York apartment that they shared. As she laid there admiring him, she thought back to when they were in high school, where they were pining after one another in secret, but told everyone especially Kurt and Finn that they hated each other, but of course Blaine, Trent, Nick, Jeff and Thad knew differently and she tried to pin point when and how exactly she fell in love with him.

They always denied the feelings they had for each other though. Thad always liked to tease to them about how they will be married one day, and Blaine and Jeff always believed that Rachel's life would be something like a romance novel. Rachel always rolled her eyes whenever they said that.

And then there was one time where it looked like they were about to kiss. She had slipped on some coffee that was spilt and she didn't know, and before she hit the ground someone had stopped her from falling. She looked up and saw that it was Sebastian. And just as they were about to kiss, Sebastian had dropped her, but then quickly picked her up while saying sorry in the process. Rachel couldn't believe that had happened.

But then there was also the time he had asked her to be his girlfriend officially and that was after his lacrosse game. Rachel didn't understand what was going on at all, she only cheered when Thad and Jeff had scored and cheered the loudest when Sebastian had scored especially when he scored the winning goal. He had asked her to be his girlfiend after he had walked over and kissed her passionately and full of love, and of course she said yes.

Rachel knew she was already in love with him when he had invited her over to his dorm just to hang out, and watch musical movies together. She will always remember when they would tell each other to be quiet because their singing could wake the other students up.

As she laid there looking at him, Sebastian stirred around his sleep, and woke up to chocolate Bambi eyes that he fell in love with and gets lost in staring up at him. He smiled lovingly at his girlfriend and said

"Pretty Girl, I get I'm so good looking and I'm so irresistible to look at, but why are you looking at me? Not that I'm complaining or anything because it's me you're looking at." Rachel smiled at him and said

"I'm admiring you, and trying to figure out when and how exactly I fell in love with you." Sebastian sat up smiling widely at her and said

"That's easy for me, because I know the exact moment I fell in love with you." Rachel was surprised at what he said and she said to him

"When did you fall in love with me?" Sebastian kissed her, pulled her closer to him and then said

"When you came to Dalton with your glee club and you all saw us perform I want you back, and you then confronted me about what i put in the slushie I threw at Blaine. Seeing you and hearing our voices blend together, I knew then I was a goner with you, and then hearing you sing here's to us. I couldn't take my eyes off you. I realised then i was in love with you, but then how could i not be in love with you pretty girl." Rachel smiled as she heard his words and she then said

"That all sounds so romantic Sebby." Sebastian smiled, kissed her hair and said

"Only for you Broadway." Rachel looked at him and realised when she the exact moment she fell in love with him. She smiled and said

"I now know the exact moment I fell in love with you." Sebastian looked at her amused and said

"When my sweet Streisand?" Rachel smiled widely at him and said

"Our first date that happened after you won your lacrosse game. And instead of going to a fancy restaurant, we went to your dorm, and we had watched funny girl, and singing in the rain, and you ordered vegan friendly foods as you knew that I was vegan, and after we had finished eating, and after singing in the rain finished. You looked over at me and asked if it was the perfect first date, and when I said yes you had kissed me, and then let me stay the night with you, and before I fell asleep in your arms you said that even if the team had lost you were still a winner because you had me and you were the most perfect gentleman that night too." Sebastian was shocked and surprised at how she remembered their first ever date, as he thought he was the only one to remember it. Sebastian looked at her and said

"You remembered our first date?" Rachel nodded her head and said

"I do remember it Sebby. The date really was perfect, you kissed me for the first time, and it was something for both of us to enjoy and spend time together. It was even more special because you had won your lacrosse game and scored the winning goal like you always do, and it was that date that I realised i was in love with you, that I never wanted that night to end. No date will ever top that one." Sebastian was pleased and his heart melted at his girlfriend's words.

Sebastian kissed her and as he did, Rachel knew that she was the luckiest girl alive as she was the one that Sebastian Smythe was in love with and was the one that got to love the former bad boy, even if he only ever showed his bad boy ways to her in the bedroom, which made her feel pretty special.
