Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

129. Dalton Mixer

Sebastian was new to Dalton after living in Paris. He had gotten settled into his dorm where had met his room mate Thaddeus who was showing him around Westerville and showing him the ropes and introducing him to other people. Sebastian felt overwhelmed and unsure with being in a new place, but stuck with Thad, and also Nick,Jeff and Trent.

They walked into the Lima Bean and Thad turned to Sebastian as they sat down with their coffees and said

"This Friday at Dalton is a dance. Well a mixer, something Dalton does with their sister school Crawford." Sebastian was confused by what Thad had said and said

"Crawford and mixer?" Thad, Nick, Jeff and Trent nodded their heads and  Nick said

"Dalton has a sister school Crawford which is an all girls private school, and Dalton do dances with them like prom." Sebastian nodded his head as if he was agreeing with them, he looked around the coffee shop comparing it to the ones that were in France when all of a sudden he heard an infectious laugh coming from the entrance of the coffee shop.

Sebastian looked straight to the entrance and saw a group of crazy girls, and he realised that the infectious laugh came from the short brunette girl.

Rachel was with her friends Iris, Caitlin, Nora, Allegra and Alexa as they all walked into the Lima Bean where Allegra who is Thad's twin sister had said something funny that happened in her chemistry class which had made Rachel, Iris, Caitlin, Nora and Alexa erupt with laughter. They walked over to Thad, Nick, Jeff, Trent and Sebastian where Sebastian had gulped as Trent had waved them over to sit with them.

Thad looked up at the girls and smiled and introduced them to Sebastian.

"This is Sebastian, he's new here from France." The girls greeted him, and Rachel couldn't stop staring at him and asked

"How is France, I heard it's really beautiful there, especially in the winter with all the snow." Sebastian took a deep breath and said

"It really is even the coffee there is much better than the ones here." Rachel gave a small smile at him, as Iris said

"We should all hang out tonight and maybe go to breadstixs or something. I'll see if my boyfriend Barry can come with us." Trent smiled widely and said

"That's a great idea, and we can show Sebastian around more, and he can have more friends too." Iris nodded her head in agreement and excitedly stood up to ring Barry as Rachel stood up to go the counter with Nick.

As Rachel was at the counter Sebastian couldn't stop staring at her and asked

"Who is she and what can you tell me about her" Allegra, Alexa, Caitlin, Nora, Thad, Trent and Jeff looked at each other and Allegra then answered

"That's Rachel. Rachel Berry. She's our best friend. She started at Crawford a year a go because of bullying she endured at the public school McKinley." Alexa smiled and said

"She's the reason Crawford has a show choir team. She's also Broadway bound too." Sebastian just became more and more enticed by her as Iris came back. And as he watched her, the Lima Bean door opened and in walked Santana, Quinn and Finn. Jeff nudged Sebastian and said

"Those three, are the reason Rachel is at Crawford." Sebastian looked in the direction of where Jeff is pointing and said

"Duly noted. But what did they do?" Nora leaned forward and said

"Not our place to say Sebastian, but it's the reason Nick always goes with Rachel up the counter to protect her from them." Sebastian nodded his head in understanding as Rachel and Nick came back with the coffees ignoring Santana, Quinn and Finn in the process.

A while later after Rachel and Sebastian exchanged numbers, she was getting ready to hang out with her friends, she was nervous because of seeing Sebastian again. She smiled as she thought of what had happened earlier that day, with Sebastian being flirty and even his wink to her, she blushed at the compliments, as she wasn't used to it because Finn was wishy washy and only paid attention to her when he felt like it. As Rachel walked out of her dorm she was met with Allegra who said

"I think the new boy has a crush on you" Rachel blushed, and she said

"I think I have a crush on him. But I don't want to get my hopes up though." Allegra understood what Rachel meant because of what Finn put Rachel through. Allegra gave a small smile and said

"I think Sebastian may ask you to be his date to the Mixer this Friday." Rachel had dreamt about Sebastian asking her as his date throughout the day, but she didn't want to get her hopes up.

Thad sat across from Sebastian and said

"You seem entranced by Rachel." Sebastian blushed and said

"I might be, and I might be thinking of asking her to be my date to the Mixer thing." Thad looked at Sebastian and said

"She might say yes. But please don't hurt her heart." Sebastian gave Thad a small smile and said

"I promise I won't hurt her heart. You have my word Harwood." Thad studied Sebastian for a solid minute to make sure he wasn't lying.

As they sat there, Rachel walked in with her friends and Sebastian felt like he could breathe because she was beautiful to him.

As the night went on and it was only Sebastian and Rachel left in the booth after their friends left for pizza at Thad's. Sebastian nervously spoke

"If I were to ask you to the Mixer as my date, would you?" Rachel looked at Sebastian surprised and blushed as she said

"I would actually." Sebastian was shocked and then said

"If I kissed you, would you kiss back?" Rachel blushed even redder. And she did something that she never done and that was lean across the table and kiss Sebastian on the lips and to her delight he kissed back.

When the Dalton mixer came on Friday, Sebastian waited at the door for her to arrive, and held his arm out for Rachel take. Rachel smiled at him as they walked to the warbler room and said

"I feel proud to be at the end of your arm walking through the halls of Dalton."

Sebastian kissed her cheek and said

"You should be Rachel."
