Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

96. Dance teacher part 1

After fleeing New York because of being a laughing stock at NYADA after her failed television show that so Rachel, Rachel Berry was back in New York, with her pride sucked in, and in her own apartment as she wouldn't be able to face Kurt and all his bombarding questions just yet, as she just wanted to be in her own space and be on her own still and not face everything in her past yet which also meant not going back to NYADA and not going back the spotlight diner for work either.

Rachel couldn't even bring herself to face her three friends and she was worried about seeing Kurt, Blaine and Santana, and when she first arrived in New York she saw an ad for a studio looking for a baby ballet dance teacher, she knew that it wasn't much but it was a start for her, and fresh start away from all of her past.

Rachel walked inside the dance studio she was hired at for her first baby ballet class, she was nervous, but also very excited because she loved kids, and loved being around them and teaching them to dance Rachel found it really rewarding. While Rachel was preparing to start the class, she saw a shy little boy in standing in the back ducking his thumb. She walked over to him, kneeled down in front of him to speak and when she was about to speak, he looked up at her, and as she looked into his eyes, she swore she had seen the bright green eyes before, but where she didn't know, and she swore that the little boy looked really familiar too.

Rachel smiled sweetly at him and said

"I'm your teacher Miss Berry." The little boy gave her a shy smile and said

"I'm Henri." Rachel looked at the front of the class and then back at Henri and said

"Would you like to be at the front of the class Henri, and be on the ballet bar that's the closest to me?" Henri looked at Rachel wide eyes showing her his bright green eyes and said

"Pwease." Rachel stood up, held her hand out for Henri to take, and then walked to the front of the class. When they reached the front of class, Rachel let go of Henri's hand and began taking the class, all the way through the class, Rachel kept glancing at Henri who seemed to be enjoying himself and making new friends as the class went on.

When Rachel finished her dance class, she picked up her bag when the kids all left, and as she walked out of the studio she saw that Henri was still there waiting on the bench outside the class. Rachel walked over to him and said

"I'm guessing your parents are still at work." Henri nodded his head and said

"My dad is." Rachel sat next to him and said

"I have some paper and coloured pencils in my bag." Henri looked at her and she continued

"you can draw a picture for your dad, if you like while we wait for him." Henri gave her a shy smile and said

"I would like that Miss Berry." Rachel placed her bag down, opened it and took the paper and coloured pencils out for Henri. Rachel waited with Henri for his dad to pick him up, and after a few minutes, Henri placed the red coloured pencil down, picked up the paper and showed her the picture and said

"Do you think my daddy will love this picture Miss Berry, it's my daddy as the flash, he really loves that superhero, he's my favourite too, and my daddy weads me the comic before I go to bed, but my daddy is the best superhero." Rachel smiled at him as she saw the picture and said

"I think he will love it very much, especially since it came from you." As she said that she and Henri heard

"Henri." At the sound of his name, Henri smiled widely, and turned to see his dad walking towards him and Rachel. Henri ran up to him with the picture he drew for him in hand and hugged him tight. When Rachel eyes followed Henri as he ran up to his dad, she now knew why Henri looked so familiar to her, and where she had seen his green eyes before, as his dad was none other than Sebastian Smythe. Sebastian picked him up aand Henri said

"I drew you a picture while I waited. Miss Berry stayed with me." Henri then pointed at Rachel. Sebastian hadn't heard the name Berry in quite some, not since the funny girl production where Rachel was Fanny Brice and he and some of the warblers had saw her. Sebastian looked over to where Henri was pointing, and when he did, he saw her. He saw the one and only Rachel Berry once more. Sebastian was shocked and surprised to see her as he heard from Blaine that she was in hiding after what had happened with her show, he held Henri close to him as if to make sure he wasn't dreaming and then said loud enough for Rachel to also hear

"Broadway."
