Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

32. An unexpected last minute prom date

A/N: Based on the prom episode from season 2... Imagine if Rachel ditched her own prom and bumped into Sebastian

Rachel was attending her own prom with Sam and Mercedes, because no-one wanted to go with her, but out of the blue Jesse tagged along for her prom on a budget with Mercedes and Sam. To say Rachel wasn't happy about Jesse's sudden appearance was an understatement, she was furious. She knew Mercedes would end up with Sam, and somehow she would end up with Jesse. She ditched Jesse and went on stage and sang her heart out. She was singing to both Finn and Jesse. She didn't want either of them. One didn't know who he wanted, and the other would just leave and hurt her again. She sang to both of them, hoping they would understand she didn't want either of them.

Rachel ended the song, and then walked off the stage, and walked out of McKinley with her head held high leaving, Jesse at the prom. She didn't want to deal with both, especially Jesse but more Finn because of the consequences with Quinn. She walked out of the school building, and walked to the Lima Bean considering she went in Sam's car, and not only that, it's the only place that is open 24 hours.

She walked into the Lima Bean, and was about to walk up to the counter to order her coffee when she hears

"I'm guessing the ball wasn't what Cinderella was expecting?" Rachel turned around and saw Sebastian Smythe in his Dalton uniform. The Bad Boy of Dalton, and captain of The Warblers and the Lacrosse, she will admit she does find him sexy, but even he finds himself sexy. She stared at him and said

"Sebastian." Sebastian smirked at her, and said

"Shouldn't you be at your prom?" Rachel folded her arms and said

"I could be, but it's not like anyone would know I'm gone." Sebastian looked concerned at Rachel. He will admit to himself that he does have feelings for her. He has always found her beautiful, endearing and incredibly sexy, and he knew it too, but she was his one weakness. If a villain like Devoe or Savitar wanted to hurt Sebastian Smythe badly, it would be to take Rachel Barbra Berry away from him, because he just can't live without her. Sebastian walked up to her and said

"Didn't you have a date?" Rachel sighed and said

"If you must know, I didn't, because my date Sam, ended up with Mercedes, and I couldn't deal with Jesse's crap anymore, and I doubt he would know I have ditched prom after I sang." Sebastian looked at Rachel and then walked up to the counter, and order two coffees, and when their drinks were made, Sebastian paid for the drinks, and he walked Rachel over to a table, and she said

"Why are you doing this Sebastian?" Sebastian looked at her and said

"Is it a crime to be nice to a really beautiful girl?" Rachel looked at him, as she sat down in her seat and said

"I'm not beautiful." Sebastian, placed Rachel's drink in front of her, sat down and said

"Yes you are, and you don't even know it."Rachel blushed, and she said

"I thought you were gay." Sebastian, took a drink of his coffee, and then placed his cup down, and said

"Nope, and not even Bi-curious either, I'm 100 percent straight, I can show you if you like." Rachel shivered at his words and said

"Not until Caitlin realises that she loves Julian." Sebastian was surprised at her Flash reference, they finished their drinks, and Sebastian looked at Rachel, and he knew that she shouldn't miss her prom, not matter if Jesse St Jerkface and Finn are there. Sebastian stood up, and held out his hand and said

"C'mon." Rachel was confused, but took Sebastian's hand anyway, and followed to where Sebastian was taking her, and when they stepped outside the Lima Bean, she said

"Where are we going Sebastian?" Sebastian held her hand, and said

"We are going to the one place where you don't want to be." Rachel looked at him and said

"I can't go there."Sebastian then stopped in front of Rachel and said

"Yes you can, you just don't want to because of Jesse and Finn. Don't let them ruin your prom night." Rachel looked at him, and Sebastian then started walking to McKinley with Rachel. When they got to McKinley, Rachel turned to Sebastian and said

"You really want to walk into a prom at a public school?" Sebastian hugged her and then said

"Yeah I would, even though I'm not really dressed for Prom, but I think my Dalton Uniform classes as a suit, don't you think?" Rachel looked at Sebastian in his Dalton uniform, smiled and said

"Yeah it does." Sebastian held his arm out for Rachel, and said

"Now let's go make people jealous." Rachel took his arm, and walked inside the auditorium, and when they walked in, everyone looked at them, and Finn said

"You can't be here Smythe." Rachel rolled her eyes at Finn and said

"But Jesse is here." As she said that, Finn went silent, and continued dancing with Quinn. Sebastian looked at Rachel with love in his eyes and said

"Would you like to dance Rachel?" Rachel nodded her head yes, and Sebastian led her to the dance floor, where they danced the night away, and Sebastian held Rachel close to him, and then kissed her, he was even more surprised that Rachel kissed him back, but he was pleased about it, because it confirmed what he has thought all along. They pulled apart, and Sebastian, put some of her hair behind her ear, left his hand linger and caress her cheek, looked at her deeply in her bambi eyes with love, sighed and said

"Rachel." Rachel looked at Sebastian and said

"I love you." Sebastian stood there shocked that Rachel Berry loved him. Sebastian kissed her deeply, and passionately and when they pulled apart again, Sebastian hugged her tightly and said

"I love you too Rachel."
