155. Little Excuses To Meet Up

Rachel and Sebastian were secretly dating even if Trent and Thad were the only ones to know about them. The reason no-one else knew about them was because of the New Directions more specifically because of Mercedes, Kurt, Finn and Santana and what happened the last time Rachel dated someone from the rival show choir team even though when Kurt came back to Mckinley he was still dating Blaine when Blaine was still a Warbler. It made Rachel upset about that especially when she overheard Mercedes tell Kurt to go for it with Blaine because Kurt was lonely, when Rachel felt way more alone, as besides Puck, Sam and now Blaine, Rachel was in a room full of people that hated her, and Kurt made that known to her when they were doing the solo off for Defying Gravity.

Lately Blaine noticed that something was different with Rachel but he didn't know what as Rachel now never has time to hang out with him and Kurt, and never has time to hang out with the New Directions but she never explains her why to anyone except Puck, Blaine and Sam. Blaine walked up to Rachel at her locker and asked

"We still hanging out at the movies with Kurt?" Rachel looked at Blaine confused and then realised what had happened, Rachel had doubled booked her date with Sebastian on the same day she, Blaine and Kurt planned to go the movies. Rachel gave a small smile to Blaine which Blaine knew Rachel was not going. Rachel softly spoke

"I'm sorry Blaine. I can't go." Blaine looked at her curiously and said

"It's okay, but why can't you?" Rachel knew she couldn't tell Blaine about her relationship at all because then Blaine and Kurt would suggest a double date and know that she is dating Sebastian. Rachel quickly gave an excuse

"I can't because I'm grounded. my dads had grounded me because I missed dance practice last week. So I really can't go, maybe we can take a rain check on the movie." Rachel hated lying to Blaine but she knew she had to. Blaine sighed and said

"It's fine Rach. I promise." Rachel placed her hand on Blaine's shoulder and said

"I really am sorry." Rachel then closed her locker and walked away, heading to her car to drive to hers and Sebastian's favourite cafe in Westerville to see Sebastian.

Rachel made it to the cafe and saw that Sebastian was already waiting for her. She walked up to him and kissed him. Sebastian kissed her passionately and said

"I missed you today Love. and I missed waking up with you this morning too." Rachel sat on his lap and said

"I missed you too, and i missed waking up with you too. but I am sorry i had to leave through the night before my dads got home." Sebastian held Rachel close and said

"What excuse did you give them this time?" Rachel sighed contently and said

"I said I was grounded because I missed dance practice last week." 

Blaine didn't buy that Rachel was grounded, Blaine thought back to their other encounters for the past two months and knew she was hiding something and Rachel should have remembered that he and Kurt had broke up. Blaine followed Rachel and wondered where she was going.

Blaine made it to the cafe in Westerville and what he saw made him stop in his tracks, he saw Rachel with Sebastian. As Blaine watched them, he remembered everything Rachel and even Sebastian said to him just so they could meet up in secret.

"Sorry Blaine, I can't my cousin is in town."

"No can do Anderson, coach has us running laps all session and I'm tired, I just want to go back to my dorm."

"I'm going away with my dads this weekend for their fishing trip."

"My parents are in town."

"I have extra dance rehearsals to make up for the ones i missed because of my broken nose that happened thanks to Finn."

"My dad is taking me on tour to Boston to see his law firm, so he can prepare me to take over it when he retires."

"It's my dad's anniversary."

Blaine thought back to them and many more that they said to him and quickly realised they were excuses to so they could meet up. Blaine watched them and then left, obviously sneaking around the teams is what they're comfortable with right now, and they will tell Blaine when they are ready for him to know.

Rachel glanced up at Sebastian and smiled sweetly

"My dads aren't home for the night, they are staying in New York and won't be home until tomorrow night and since they trust you a lot, they said that you can spend the night but in the guest room, but what they don't know won't hurt them." Sebastian smirked at her and said

"That is the best news ever." Sebastian kissed her temple and said

"and what's even greater we get to wake up with each other tomorrow morning." Rachel pecked Sebastian's lips and said

"Can't wait." Rachel looked at him lovingly and without thinking she said 

"I love you Sebby." As she said that both she and Sebastian went wide eyed at what Rachel had just said as they have never said it. Sebastian lifted his hand to her cheek and said

"I love you too Rachie." They both stood up to go to their cars to drive to Rachel's place, when Rachel said

"Aside from Thad and Trent what did you tell the Warblers about you not being there?" Sebastian gave a smile and said

"I told them I was going to the hospital to sing to the kids there." Rachel was in awe and said

"You're such a softy Sebby." 

The following day it was Regionals and after the winners was announced, Rachel told her team

"I can't I have to meet my dads. They want to celebrate the win with just them and me. So i'm sorry maybe next time." Rachel saw her team walk away buying Rachel's excuse, she waited to see all her team walking out of the auditorium before whispering

"It's okay Sebby, they're gone." Sebastian peered from backstage and walked up and wrapped his arms around her from behind her and said

"You have got to get better at your excuses Broadway." Sebastian turned her around, kissed her and said

"i love you, and this sneaking around is kinda hot." Rachel giggled at Sebastian's word and let him lead her to a hotel room that he had booked two weeks in advanced where Rachel knew that she wasn't going to get much sleep.

Blaine watched them leave and Rachel's secret relationship with Sebastian is one secret that Blaine is going to keep, and he may help Rachel with her excuses to help convince the team more especially Finn, Kurt, Mercedes and Santana.
