"Good morning!", Amelia greeted her therapist one last time and let her come inside while holding the husky. The brunette greeted her back and then gave her attention to the sweet little animal in her client's arms.

"And who are you?", Dr. Brato wondered as they walked into the living room. "Did you guys get a dog? I mean, obviously you did, but why now? And where's Leo?", she kindly questioned, just curious.

"We found her in our yard this weekend. The kids named her Eleanor, Ellie, El and Ella for short. She's not ours yet, since Owen is still waiting for the rightful owners to respond to our online posts and papers around the streets. He took Leo to work with him today, so I wouldn't be left alone with two babies during therapy.", the brunette explained.

"She doesn't look like usual huskies. Her fur is brownish greyish.", the therapist pointed out, caressing the puppy's head. "But you have such beautiful eyes.", she added. "The right one is blue and the left one is brown."

"You can hold her if you want. I was going to let her play in her crate, which Owen bought yesterday as well as some dog food and stuff. On Saturday evening, I actually made him go to one of Logan's friends' houses because they have a dog and they gave us some food for her for dinner.", the neurosurgeon chuckled, handing Eleanor to her counterpart. "Water as always?", she offered.

"Yeah, thank you.", the brunette smiled softly, letting the puppy get comfortable in her lap. "Doesn't seem like he is actually going to go through with not keeping her.", she laughed, and her client shook her head in amusement.

"You should have seen them Saturday night and yesterday evening. I suggested she could sleep in our room on a blanket on the floor once I had bathed and dried her, but he insisted on letting her sleep in the bed with us. Then yesterday, they were snuggling all evening.", Amelia shared. "And the kids are already attached to her as much as she is to us, so he won't have the balls to give her away."

"Alrighty then. Sounds like the two of you are back on track and better than ever. For our last session, I would like you to tell me how you generally feel. Are you looking forward to what the future will bring? Can you move on from your past?", the therapist guided.

"I'd actually go all in and say we're perfect.", the brunette answered. "We found a house that we would like to visit and look at on Friday. We will get engaged again and go through with the wedding. We are planning to have more children. Now we also have a sweet little doggo that has actually fallen asleep in your lap. I thought my kids loved to cuddle but now that I have met Eleanor, I know who the true snuggler is."

"All of that sounds wonderful. What do you feel when you're thinking about your current life, Amelia?", Dr. Brato asked. "A while back this would have overwhelmed you. How do you feel now?"

"Happy. Completely happy.", the neurosurgeon replied confidently. "I love the way we are now, and I know that I will love my life even more once we've moved. I am ready to leave the past behind me and to move on. I can eat normally and enjoy food. I even started cooking more. I am back to liking my body. Everything is perfect."

"I am so glad to hear that.", her counterpart said. "You deserve to be happy. And none of what has happened to you will ever define you as a person. You know this now and this has been our goal all along. You have worked hard on yourself to achieve that, and you can be extremely proud of yourself. I know that Owen is, and I am too. We are officially done with therapy. But don't forget that if you ever feel like talking about something...literally anything...give me a call or send a message. And please bring your dog."
