"Sorry, took me a little longer to get Lucas down again.", Amelia informed everyone as she joined them in the basement at the pool table and put down the second baby phone. "He really didn't understand why it's time to sleep."

"How is he adjusting to the new life here and to the new faces at daycare?", Meredith wondered softly, sitting down on the couch with her sister-in-law while their husbands played their first round.

"I don't know, honestly.", the brunette sighed and shrugged. "First, he didn't wanna go there, which I thought was normal, so Addison took care of him. He really likes her and Jake. But then, we actually left him there and he seemed fine. Suddenly, he became pretty fuzzy and started throwing tantrums, like the one just a second ago, so they told me he cannot go there anymore when I brought the twins to daycare this morning.", she shared.

"They can't do that, Amy! Owen's working at the hospital, he has a right to leave his kids at daycare.", Derek reminded his sister. "Don't let them do this to you.", he begged. "Just because Lucas is in a little messier phase, doesn't mean they can just stop supervising him."

"Yeah, we know that.", his brother-in-law meddled. "We talked to Charlotte and wrote an email to the daycare earlier. They told us to get a children's therapist and we will, but I am not sure if we want our son to be at a daycare, where they don't want him.", he sighed.

"And they still accepted Luna's presence?", the general surgeon wondered, kind of shocked by how judgmental the new daycare of the twins seemed to be. "How can they be so unfair to a one-year-old?", she questioned.

"Like she doesn't belong to the same family as her brother.", Amelia replied. "The problem is, supervisors are so rare, Charlotte cannot fire them all. So, I guess I might ask Leo's pre-school if they have a house for younger children, since we are driving there every day anyway. It is not what I imagined for all three of my smaller kids, but I guess this is the way it has to be if they decide to let us in. Hi, Honey.", she smiled at Ella, who had jumped onto the couch next to her mom.

"That is a good plan.", the other Shepherd reassured the couple. "Did you use only one car all this time or did you rent another one?", he wanted to know, since they had brought Amelia's car this afternoon.

"I took Addie's car. Henry is taking the bus most of the time and she and Jake have the same direction when it comes to their workplace, so she gave it to me.", his sister answered. "But I am glad I finally have my own car back."

"You're welcome.", her brother chuckled, taking a sip of his beer. "Mer, Owen lost against me, you're next.", he winked at his wife, who rolled her eyes as she switched places with the redhead.

"I just wanted time with my own wife.", the trauma surgeon joked, wrapping his right arm around her to pull her into him, causing their husky to climb in her lap and lay down on them both. "And with our sweet El."

"I see you're still the romantic, Hunt.", the male neurosurgeon smirked as he shook his head. "So, tomorrow we're going to the Natural History Museum, right? And Addison, Jake, and Henry come here for dinner?"

"Yes, that's the plan. There's also Griffith Park, where we'll go on Sunday. The kids will have lots of fun there.", Owen confirmed, stroking Amelia's back meanwhile and kissing her cheek. "So, how's everybody in Seattle doing?"

"Pretty good.", Meredith responded. "Jackson and April are going to have another baby.", she shared. "It's a boy.", she added. "So, I know I've asked you before but since Maggie and Andrew are taking their sweet time and we are too old to have children, are you two going to have another one?"

"Mer, if you're too old, I am too.", the redhead pointed out. "So, no. We're not going to have another baby, but not just because of our age. Five children and a husky are definitely enough, we've had that conversation around Christmas."

"Crap, then help me beg Maggie to get a move on.", the blonde said, making everyone laugh. "I wish she wasn't so uptight all the time.", she complained and rolled her eyes. "Can I have another glass of wine, please?", she asked.

"Give her time, she just wants everything to be perfect.", Amelia reminded her sister and smiled at her before she got up to prepare the drink for her. "Do you want wine or a beer as well, Babe?", she wanted to know, looking at her husband.

"No, I'll have a soda.", he declined. "Maybe tomorrow when the others come over too.", he shrugged. "Thanks, Honey.", he smiled when his wife handed him a can and put her own onto the table next to them after giving Meredith her glass back. Suddenly, they could hear Lucas throw another one of his tantrums.

"Man...", the brunette grumbled and was about to get back up when Owen motioned for her to remain seated and told her he'd take care of it. "I don't know what to do with him. It's so annoying! But then again, maybe we just feel like his tantrums are bad because he used to be so quiet. Perhaps we are treating him just as unfairly as the daycare."

"Amy, stop it!", Derek contradicted. "You're nothing like that daycare. I mean, you're probably right, it annoys you because you know how different it used to be with Lucas. But that is an okay feeling. It's not like you're ignoring him or scolding him for being upset, so it is alright to feel internally annoyed.", he explained.

"Derek's right. He already takes a lot of your time by distrusting most people and not communicating with them, but now that Lucas is also moody from time to time, he is more needy as well and of course that can get on your nerves sometimes. You're not bad parents for having your own feelings.", the general surgeon agreed with her husband.
