"Alright Jess, you should rest now. At least your neuro exam looks much better than before.", Amelia talked to her patient and smiled at the woman. "I mean, you still have a long way to go but still, it's a start."

"Perfect!", the blonde beamed. "Did you hear her, Anton?", she asked her brother. "Get out.", she smirked at him and winked. "Gotta rest and I can't do that with your annoying ass in here."

"Oh, wow.", the neurosurgeon chuckled as she looked back and forth between the two siblings and laughed. That was just their nature, they would always tease each other ever since Jess arrived at the hospital. "How nice."

"I am used to this.", her counterpart scoffed in amusement. "Would you like to get lunch in the cafeteria with me, Dr. Shepherd? Eating alone isn't my thing.", he informed her.

"Well, it's not mine either. Although I can't help it but notice that you've been flirting with me non-stop for half a month.", the brunette grinned, staring into his eyes. "But if we're going to have lunch together, how about you start calling me Amelia.", she suggested.

"Sounds good.", Anton decided and together they left the room. "So, you might have noticed my flirting, but I have noticed the wedding band on your finger. I just never see you with your husband. Or you guys don't act like a married couple.", he curiously pointed out.

"That's because he's serving in Iraq right now.", Amelia answered. "And you do know it's quite cheeky to flirt with a woman who you know is married, don't you?", she giggled. "Thank you.", she smiled softly when the blonde held the door open for her.

"Oh, I guess I shouldn't get in his way then, huh?", her patient's brother teased jokingly, making her laugh again. "But since he's not here, I actually cannot be kept from buying you lunch."

"I can pay for my food by myself.", the neurosurgeon responded and shook her head in amusement as he insisted and made her pick whatever she wanted. "So, what are you doing for a living?", she questioned. "And thank you for lunch."

"I am a kindergarten teacher.", the blonde shared. "This is great!", he referred to his summer bowl. "Wanna try?", he sweetly offered, filling the fork, and holding it towards his sister's doctor. He watched her consider it and she looked like she wanted to say no at first but then she actually tried it.

"What the?", Derek said, sitting at another table together with Meredith, Maggie, Teddy, and Nathan. "Is she letting that man flirt with her and if so, why?", he wondered, shocked by what he was seeing.

"Well, can you blame her? I mean, Owen would go off if he saw Amelia allow another guy to feed her. But she's lonely and I was in her patient's room with her once, he's been flirting with her for days now. She needs some attention, since she isn't getting much of it from her husband.", Teddy shrugged.

"I feel for her.", Maggie sighed. "As long as they aren't kissing or doing something else, I think she should have some fun and I mean, it was just one fork. It's not like he's too touchy and stuff."

"So why would you even wanna flirt with me? Can't you have anyone better?", Amelia asked her counterpart, dead seriously glancing into his eyes, causing him to look surprised. "What?"

"Better than you? I don't think anybody can do much better than you, but you seem to think lower of yourself than you should.", Anton realized. Didn't she see how beautiful she was? Inside and out.

"Maybe that is what happens if your husband leaves you to go serve, causing you to be alone with five rather young kids and a husky.", the brunette shrugged, biting her bottom lip. "I'm damaged. You should have your next lunch with somebody else."

"Maybe I don't want to eat with another person.", the kindergarten teacher contradicted gently. "I love spending time with you. Feel free to talk about it if you want to. I am a good listener. I often get talked to all day long at work.", he reminded her. "And if you don't want to get into detail about why you're damaged, maybe you can show me your kids."

"Stop being so nice to me, or I might...", the neurosurgeon started but stopped herself and pulled out her phone to show him pictures of the children. "This is our oldest, Logan. He is thirteen and such a softie, loves to read."

"Woah, he looks so much like his mama.", the blonde's face lit up upon noticing how similar they looked. "Let me guess, she's five?", he said when his counterpart had swiped to a photo of her daughter.

"Almost. She's six and her name is Layla. She's a little hurricane, just like me.", Amelia told him and grinned. "And that's our three-year-old, Leo. Most of the time, he has the energy of two, but he is also such an angel."

"Awww, I love them! Layla's smile lights up the whole world and I really wanna ruffle Leo's blonde curls.", Anton chuckled softly. "These two look the same age. Are they twins?", he wanted to know.

"Yep, exactly.", the neurosurgeon confirmed. "This is Luna and that is Lucas. They actually turned eleven months old today. Feels like they were just born yesterday but it's the same thing all the time, kids grow up way too fast."
