"So, who sleeps in which room? One of us gets the babies and one kid, the other parent shares their room with the remaining two children and Eleanor.", Owen announced to his kids, wanting them to figure it out.

"I'm not gonna choose between you!", Layla argued as if somebody had just offended her badly. She even crossed her arms before she went back to eating her food. They were currently having dinner at the hotel.

"Fine, then maybe one of you wants to make a wish?", the redhead addressed Logan and Leo, who also didn't really want to pick. For the toddler it seemed weird to have to decide something like this by himself and although his brother was still mad at his mother, he wouldn't choose his father right in front of her.

"Let's draw lots then.", Amelia suggested, internally shaking since the last time she had had to do that, it had been in her nightmare. "You get to go first.", she told her husband, who had quickly prepared four little pieces of paper.

"Layla.", the trauma surgeon announced, nodding for his wife to go next before he looked at his phone, on which he could see Eleanor, who was waiting for them in one of their hotel rooms after having eaten dinner herself. He had installed a little camera that was connected to an app he had to monitor her.

"Babies.", the brunette said and finished this by drawing another lot. "And Logan. So, Leo, you get to sleep in the same bed as daddy and Layla and probably El, even though she has her own bed. Is that okay for you?", she wanted to know from her oldest son, fully aware of how angry he was with her.

"Yep.", the teenager replied, not giving away if he was serious or not. The family went to bed rather soon after dinner since they would drive the remaining nine hours to their new home in L.A. tomorrow. The twins were already sleeping, leaving Amelia and the thirteen-year-old by themselves. "What happened?", Logan finally questioned.

"What do you mean?", the neurosurgeon wondered. They had just talked about some movie the boy liked and suddenly he asked her this question. "In the movie you told me about, or?", she asked him.

"No, I mean...why are we moving all of a sudden? If it actually was because of your trauma, wouldn't we have left years ago...like when they found you after James' parents had kidnapped you?", the young brunette speculated. "So, I want to know what happened because right now I don't understand what made you decide to leave Seattle just like that."

"It is because of my trauma, Honey.", his mother informed him. "Because Stella threatened me again. She sent me a voicemail and said that they would be watching me, so I got really paranoid.", she shared and swallowed heavily.

"When? You never told me about that before!", her kid pointed out in surprise and stared at her with widened eyes. He had expected some lazy excuse, but that was way worse than any possible reason he had made up in his mind.

"Why would I have? You are a child, Baby. I'm not going to talk to you about bad stuff that happens to me. I want you to enjoy your youth instead of being concerned about things that your father and I will handle. Still, I failed to keep you out of it because now I'm moving you away from your boyfriend.", Amelia sighed.

"I understand your motivation to keep all of this from me, but look what happened, Mom.", the teenager reasoned and frowned. "I was so mean to you because I thought you had some lazy reasons to move back to L.A. Like not liking the rain or wanting to live at the beach...like Layls. If I had known about the real details, I would have still been sad but definitely not as pissed at you."

"And you would have been scared to go to school, which would have made two of us worrying about you all day.", the brunette replied. "I wanted to protect you and I knew that the best way of doing so was by leaving you unaware of what was happening and by taking all of your rude comments, because you had the right to be angry. You still have the right to be sad. And I'm really sorry you had to leave Atlas in Seattle, but I couldn't live there anymore, not without being terrified day and night.", she tried to explain her decisions.

"And I'm sorry for being so hateful towards you.", Logan apologized softly. "You didn't deserve that and you're definitely not selfish.", he added, taking back what he had been telling her the whole month. "I love you, Mama!"

"I love you too, Angel!", the neurosurgeon beamed at her son, so glad that he was finally willing to forgive her and to understand her now that he had most of the facts. She couldn't blame him for being mad until now since she hadn't really asked him about his opinion on moving away from Seattle. And now that he knew, he was as understanding as always. "Now get some sleep, Dad wants us to leave at 8 tomorrow.", she complained, making him chuckle. "Good night!"

"Night, Mom!", the thirteen-year-old yawned before he snuggled up to her. Normally he didn't do that anymore but since they were sharing a bed anyway. Plus, he had missed out on a lot of mama-love since he had been keeping his distance from her ever since his parents had told him that they were moving.
