Amelia came back from bringing Logan to bed. Owen had said good night to him before he had taken a shower and was now reading. He started smiling when his friend took the book out of his hand, closed it, and leaned in to kiss him.

What had started as a sweet make-out session soon became more passionate and suddenly, the brunette was taking off her pajama top before her left hand found its way into his pants and started stroking his member.

"Amelia, what are you doing?", the trauma surgeon tried to remain focused but basically moaned in pleasure. Once she suggested sex to him, he seriously stared into her eyes as he pulled her hand out of his pajama bottoms. "No sex, you heard your doctor! And seeing you lay there today wasn't fun, so please take them seriously and stop.", he ordered strictly. "What is this really about?"

"Your best friend, who's clearly in love with you.", his friend mumbled, tearing up at the thought of losing him to Teddy because she wasn't ready for a relationship yet. "She didn't even have to say it but the way she immediately trash-talked me...sure, she was nice after but she's totally trying to win you over...", she sniffled.

"Are you jealous?", the redhead wondered, hoping she'd say yes because it meant that she already was a little into him. His colleague sighed, letting herself fall onto her back as she stared at the ceiling and nodded a bit. "Well, you don't have to be.", he promised, climbing on top of her and holding himself up with his hands beside her head. "Because you're the only person I want to do this with.", he said, giving her a soft kiss. "And this.", he added, nibbling her earlobe before his lips travelled down to her neck. "And this too.", he finished, licking her right nipple before he did the same with her left one, causing her to moan. "Now put that back on and let's snuggle.", he suggested, nonchalantly rolling off his friend and handing her the pajama top.

"I don't think it is legal to leave someone hanging like that, but fine.", Amelia chuckled, putting the piece of clothing back on before she cuddled up to him and kissed his jawline from where the right side of her face was resting on his shoulder.

"Hi, I brought bagels.", Derek greeted his sister with a guilty grin on his face and waited for her to step aside and let him in. She did but rolled her eyes meanwhile. "You love bagels, Amy.", he reminded her and followed her into the kitchen. "Hi, little men!", he said to the boys, who were playing on the carpet. "Where's Layla?"

"Annoying her dad as he is trying to get ready for the day.", the brunette explained and leaned against the counter to cross her arms. "What do you want?", she questioned impatiently. He had his I-want-to-apologize-face on, but she knew he was too proud to actually say the words and that's why she waited for them.

"I...my reaction yesterday was wrong.", her brother began. "Instead of judging your relationship or, uh, non-relationship with Owen, I should have supported you in every aspect you named. But I didn't."

"And?", Amelia kept grilling him, smirking as she enjoyed the process. She noticed her friend in the doorway and watched her daughter run to her uncle to charm him into playing with her. "Baby, your uncle has to say something to me before he gets to play with you. And then it's time for breakfast, so go be with your brothers for a moment and then you can play with your uncle after breakfast."

"And I am sorry.", the male neurosurgeon mumbled and groaned when she told him to repeat that more clearly. "I am sorry, Amy! Are you done teasing me?", he asked, rolling his eyes, and watching his sister laugh while glancing at Owen, who chuckled, too.

"I know you are. But yesterday you made me feel bad for overcoming my former toxic relationship and the fact that he's dead. You also made me feel terrible for having the abortion by needing to know if it was his baby or not. Because that didn't matter. What mattered was the fact that I made the decision to abort my child. And I am not sure what you are thinking but don't ever assume that a woman who's had an abortion does not care. I do care. And at the same time, I needed James gone. And every aspect of him. I would have tried to love that kid but most of the time I would have hated it. And that's what I needed you to understand when I told you about the abortion, not if he was the father.", she pointed out.

"I've been such an ass.", Derek realized ashamed. "I didn't even ask you how you are doing.", he sighed. "I am really sorry for being so insensitive. And I also know that you aren't using Owen. I can see it in your eyes. The way you look at him...I know you're safe with him. And I know you will continue to take care of her.", he now addressed his buddy, who nodded with a smile on his face.

"At least you finally understand how much you actually screwed up, otherwise you wouldn't have apologized.", the female neurosurgeon replied and opened her arms for a hug, feeling her brother embrace her tightly.
