"You know the drill. Choose the happy or the sad star.", Amelia told her two-year-old as she held him. They had installed a way for him to share his feelings at his wall. "The happy one, great. Now put it onto a number. You know, this one, the 1, is that you were only a tiny bit happy and this one, the 5, means you have had an extremely great day.", she explained the rules as she did every day. "The 3, okay. Would you like to speak about it, baby? You've picked the 3 two days in a row."
"Me wants to be smawest (smallest) one again.", the mini blonde sighed when his mom sat him down on his little bed. "Smawest one gets to sweep with you 'n daddy.", he explained his wish and pouted.
"Not forever, honey.", the neurosurgeon reminded the boy softly. "But how about you get to come sleep with us every Saturday night? Would that make you a little happier and would you feel more appreciated?", she suggested.
"Uh huh.", the two-year-old mumbled as he sniffled. "When it Swaturday?", he wanted to know, hoping it was today. "Me no compwain (complain) about loud babies.", he promised, looking at his mother with his huge sad eyes.
"Today is Saturday.", the brunette informed him, causing his face to light up. The twins had been sleeping for an hour now and while she brought Leo to bed, Owen did so with the other two, who she had said good night to earlier.
"Oh, what's going on?", her husband wondered when she walked into the bedroom with Leo in her arms. "What did you choose, sweetie?", he asked, referring to the mood-board on his wall.
"This little munchkin would like to join us every Saturday night.", Amelia shared. She had chosen this day because if their son woke up to the twins crying it wouldn't be too bad since the day after was still a weekend day. "And he said he is fine with his crying siblings."
"Me chosened happy me and thwee.", Leo answered his father as he climbed into his arms under the blanket. He couldn't count yet but remembered the word his mother had used. "But now me picks happy me and next best number."
"Well, I'm glad to hear it.", Owen grinned at the small boy in his arms. He probably would have made another choice than his wife but was totally fine with hers. "Good night, baby boy.", he said, kissing the mini blonde's head as they continued their cuddling. "Good night, babe.", he addressed Amelia. "Night, El.", he didn't forget about the husky, who decided to sleep on top of her mama tonight.

"Hey!", the redhead sleepily smiled at his wife while he woke up to their daughter crying out of hunger. "Do you need something?", he softly questioned as he looked at her. He couldn't really help her feed the twins, but he did want to do something.
"Can you get me a chocolate cream sandwich, please?", the neurosurgeon asked and pouted, ashamed of making him prepare food for her that early in the morning. It was only 2am.
"Of course, honey!", her husband agreed, slowly got up as to not wake the boys, and walked downstairs to get her the snack. He hoped that Leo would stay asleep but the chances for that were very low. "What?", he wondered, not believing his eyes when he came back into the bedroom.
"No need to be sad, Wuna.", the two-year-old said, resting his left side against his mama while he used his right hand to stroke his sister's arm and occasionally kissed her head gently. "She has cwied cos she hungwy.", he innocently informed his father. "Now she betta (better).", he smiled a little.
"Did you help her calm down, like the perfect big brother you are?", Owen chose to embrace the situation by praising his son. He nodded happily before he went back to fully focus on his sad younger sibling. "Wow, I am so proud of you, Leo.", he shared, climbing onto his side of the bed to feed his wife.
"Me eat snack too?", the mini blonde asked. Chocolate cream sandwiches were his favorites. His parents looked at each other for a moment since 2am wasn't the perfect time for a toddler to have a sweet treat.
"One bite, baby.", his mother finally allowed it and watched the boy smile before he ate a small bite of her sandwich. She also would have hated it if somebody else was eating her favorite snack in front of her, so she decided that a small bite was alright.
"Thank you, mama.", Leo beamed. "Thank you, daddy.", he told Owen, who had been feeding him, too. With one last kiss on Luna's head, he let his mom burp her and watched her put her back into her bed. "This the bestest night.", he mumbled as he fell back asleep.
