"Hey!", Amelia greeted Anton when she came in to pick up the twins and Leo. She always got the two younger kids first, so the toddler wouldn't have to wait for so long while she got them ready. "How was lunch with them and naptime?"

"You know, lunch was crazy, but it always is with ten very small kids at one table.", the blonde explained and chuckled. "My goal isn't for them to eat quietly or be good during lunch, but rather that they eat at all, and Luna and Lucas are good eaters.", he smiled at her.

"Yeah, I would go insane if I had to make sure that ten children were eating.", the neurosurgeon joked. "Sometimes, two is enough to make me want to bang my head against my living room wall.", she added.

"That's dark.", the daycare teacher pointed out. "But also, so true.", he agreed with a nod. "Anyway, as for naptime, Lucas was the one who fell asleep immediately, not even able to keep his eyes open for the first part of the story I had played for the minis to listen to. But Luna really didn't want to go to bed, so I lifted her back out of her crib and into my arms to snuggle her, so she fell asleep in my lap. Whenever I tried to put her back down, she woke up again.", he shared.

"Any ideas what we could do about it?", the brunette wondered, not quite able to think of a solution herself since her daughter went to bed the way she was supposed to whenever it was naptime at home.

"For now, we are gonna give it time. It was the first nap they had to have here, so maybe she just needs some reassurance by cuddling with a person she trusts. If she still doesn't want to sleep in her crib next Monday, we are going to start making a plan.", Anton explained. "Now have a wonderful afternoon.", he smiled.

"You too.", Amelia said. "Come on, Babies. Let's go home!", she told the twins, that happily grabbed one of her hands each and stumbled to the wardrobe with their mother, where she put on their clothes before she lifted them into the stroller to get Leo from her group.

"How were your days?", Owen asked the children during dinner. He had cooked pasta with spinach and cheese, a dish his wife loved. Layla and Leo were eating just noodles with cheese since they didn't really like spinach.

"Dood!", Lucas was the first one to answer, clapping his dirty hands with a huge smile on his face. He really loved the new daycare and even though he missed his parents during the days, he was able to have fun there anyway until they picked him up.

"That's so great, Honey!", the redhead beamed at his little son, super happy about their decision of bringing the twins to the new daycare, even if Anton was the supervisor. "And what did you do at school today, Logan?"

"We started a group-project in history.", the thirteen-year-old began. "We have to create a roleplay in groups of six and each of us has to have a certain profession, in whose favor we are going to be arguing about a specific topic."

"Woah, this sounds like so much fun!", Layla exclaimed. "Which job do you have?", she curiously wondered, shoving another spoon of her dinner into her mouth. "Mommy, was the twins' handsome supervisor working today?"

"I am the carpenter.", her big brother answered the question that had been for him, before he continued eating his own dinner and let his mother reply to the other one. "You like blondes?"

"I like everybody.", the young brunette pointed out as if it was the most obvious thing ever. "Was he there, mama? And is he going to be there tomorrow?", she questioned again, confusing both of her parents.

"He was there today, and he will be tomorrow, yeah.", Amelia finally responded, waiting for her daughter to say something about why she wanted to know if Anton had been working today or not. "Why?"

"Tomorrow is Valentine's. Can you give him a card I made him?", the seven-year-old innocently wondered, causing her father to choke on his food and cough. He couldn't believe that the guy had two of his family members wrapped around his little finger, four if one counted the twins as well. "I like him, he's pretty."

"I can do that.", the neurosurgeon chose to answer because she didn't want to destroy her kid's excitedness. "But Love, I do think he's a little too old for you, you know?", she carefully tried to argue.

"He looks younger than both, you and daddy. You don't get to say he looks old.", Layla defended her crush nonchalantly. "So, you'll give him the card?", she wanted it confirmed another time, watching her mother nod. "Promise?"

"Promise.", the brunette said, glancing at her husband, who still looked like he had seen a ghost, and rolling her eyes once Layla didn't see it. "Leo, how was pre-school?", she asked the toddler, that hadn't shared much yet.

"Good.", came her usual reply as she continued eating. "Can I have chewy candy after dinner if I empty my plate, please?", she changed the topic, still not quite the talker when it came to her daily report. But her parents wouldn't give up, hoping that one day she would start sharing more.

"ME TOO!", her sister yelled. Their father allowed it but told them that they would get one each and that this was enough since they couldn't have too much sugar before bedtime. The children knew better than to argue with him.
