Tuesday, 31st January:

Logan: 13; Layla: 7; Leo: 4; Twins: 1; Eleanor: 2

-

"I want to take Leo inside today.", Owen announced once they arrived in the parking lot of their toddler's pre-school after dropping Logan and Layla off. Amelia would stay in the car with Eleanor and the twins.

"Alright.", the brunette agreed and got out of the vehicle to kiss her kid's head. "I hope you'll have a lot of fun, Honey.", she told the girl, who nodded. "I love you so so much!", she also said, feeling unwell about leaving the four-year-old again.

"I love you too, Mama.", the mini blonde smiled cutely before she grabbed the hand her father was holding out for her. He was carrying her backpack with his other one and took the child inside.

"Next stop is daycare.", Amelia sadly informed her youngest kids, turning around to them. "Lucas, will you do mama a favor and stay there today?", she wondered. She didn't want to push her son, but he had to get into a routine. There wouldn't always be someone who could watch him until their workdays ended.

"No.", the one-year-old replied, his eyes widening. "No wanna.", he pouted as tears filled his eyes, causing his mother to sigh, turn back around to face the front and close her eyes for a second as she massaged her temples, feeling a headache coming.

"I guess you're going anyway.", the neurosurgeon decided softly after one minute of thinking about it in silence, which made the boy cry. A second later, his mom couldn't control her own tears anymore either.

"Leo will be there for three hours today, Mrs. Lucardo and I have agreed that this might be a good idea. She can call us whenever she needs to.", Owen shared as he climbed back into the car, only now noticing that two of the three human beings in it were crying. "What happened?"

"Hm...", Luna answered, confused as well, and shrugged, blankly staring at her same-aged brother. Eleanor was in the back, very concerned about everybody as well and therefore whining and howling.

"El, quiet!", the trauma surgeon told the dog, who calmed down after hearing his dominant voice give her an order. "Ames, what's wrong?", he repeated his question, growing more worried with every second that passed.

"Lucas doesn't want to go to daycare, and I told him he is going to have to.", his wife explained. "And it stresses me out that there's a tantrum every day. That is not how I expected our time here in LA to start."

"NO!", the twin-boy screamed after hearing about his disastrous fate again. "No, no, no, no!", he yelled and crossed his arms for effect, which he had learned from Leo who always did that when she was mad.

"Stop it, right now!", his father warned him after turning around to his son and locking eyes with him. "When mama says, you're going to daycare today, you will.", he ended the discussion that wasn't really a discussion because the other participant couldn't talk much to defend his point of view.

---

Amelia was sitting in her office, working. Her husband had taken the twins to daycare as planned, which hadn't been the easiest job with Lucas, but he had somehow managed to drop him off.

And now he was walking Eleanor in the park nearby since it was his day off. He was supposed to bring her over once he left to pick up Leo and Layla, who had a short day today as well and was therefore joining the lunch parade.

"Last time I checked, this was your workplace.", Charlotte joked when she walked in on her friend falling asleep with her right hand holding her head. "Hard night?", she sympathized with her and sat down.

"Hard life.", the brunette chuckled bitterly after sitting up straight again. "I think Lucas switched from being the quiet one to being the devil in the span of two days. I mean, with others around, he is still silent, but today he gave us a piece of his mind in the car when I told him what to do."

"Must have been a very well-spoken piece of his mind.", the blonde made yet another joke, referring to the fact that the child wasn't even two years old yet. But she wasn't making fun of her friend, very aware of how exhausting kids could be, especially when they threw tantrums.

"Charlotte, just shup uuuup!", Amelia begged tormented and rolled her eyes. "Oh, there's the best-behaved child of the family.", she pointed out when her dog ran into the office in full speed, ready to great her mama. "At least, mainly.", she added, since running into a person's workspace like that wasn't it either.

"That's so rude of you to say.", Owen, who had heard his wife's snarky comment, scoffed. "Hi, Charlotte!", he friendly greeted the other woman with a smile. "Since you're so grumpy today, I figured this could help.", he addressed the neurosurgeon again and handed her a bag with a coffee and a piece of her favorite cake.

"I don't deserve you.", the brunette admitted, finally realizing that she was kind of a pain in the ass too today. "Thank you, Honey!", she gratefully smiled at her husband and watched him get comfortable on her couch.

"Well, I'll leave you two alone then.", Charlotte winked at her friends after giving Eleanor a lot of pets. "Be a good girl for your parents, like you always are.", she told the husky and went to leave before she turned around one more time to remind Amelia: "Don't fall asleep on top of your work again. Next time, Naomi might be the one to find you and she won't find it as funny as I did."

"You fell asleep?", the redhead questioned in disbelief, trying to hide his amusement. "That is kinda low, Babe.", he smirked a little. "Ou!", he laughed when several pens were thrown at him. "Be nice to me, I brought you food."

"I might have to strangle you for that comment.", his wife whined and crossed her arms, just like Lucas had done earlier. "You're right by the way, non-puberty Logan is the best-behaved."
