Tuesday, 14th February:

Logan: 13; Layla: 7; Leo: 4; Twins: 1; Eleanor: 2

"Owen?", Amelia called her husband, confused about his whereabouts. She had brought Logan to bed after doing so with Layla and Leo since he had gotten the twins ready for bed earlier, but now she couldn't find him anywhere.

"In here.", the redhead replied from where he was waiting for her in their ensuite. Eleanor had made herself comfortable in her parents' bed, because neither was she allowed in the bathroom because of her shedding nor did she want to be in there anyway.

"Hey, what are you-", the neurosurgeon began but interrupted herself. "Oh my God!", she said upon seeing what he had prepared for them to enjoy. The bathtub was filled with nice hot water and a lot of bubbles, there were candles lit around it, he had even bought rose petals. "Since when do we do Valentine's?"

"Since we deserve a wonderful evening to ourselves. It's not much and I get that you didn't wanna go out and leave the kids, but you deserve to be appreciated, Babe.", Owen explained, adding the final touch by turning on some music and filling two fancy cups with sparkling lime water to put them next to the plate he had filled with sushi.

"Thank you.", his wife mumbled as she wrapped her arms around his neck to pull down his head, so she could give him a soft but passionate kiss. "It's beautiful.", she smiled, starting to undress her husband.

"I love you!", the trauma surgeon stated the obvious before he helped her climb into the bathtub and got in across from her. "I hope this isn't too cheesy for you...I just thought that we should celebrate a little.", he shyly said.

"Honey, it's really perfect.", the brunette reassured him softly. "Just because I am not a romantic as printed in romance novels, doesn't mean I cannot enjoy quality time with my husband.", she reminded him. "I love you too! And I really appreciate your effort.", she offered him a sweet smile.

"Wanna eat some sushi with me?", the redhead suggested, watching her nod as she grinned. "Come here.", he told her, pulling her into his arms, so she could rest her back against his chest, which made eating from the same plate much easier. "So, I have to say, Anton writing a little letter back to Layla was very nice of him."

"I mean he friendzoned her in full force, but I am glad he did.", Amelia chuckled. "She didn't even notice it and was quite happy about the reply.", she remembered, grinning at the thought. "We should do a beach day on Saturday."

"It's winter, Ames.", her husband pointed out in confusion. "Why would you wanna do that?", he wanted to know, eating another sushi roll off their plate as he waited for her to answer. His wife was really hilarious sometimes.

"Not with swimming!", she groaned, shaking her head in amusement. "Just...letting the kids play in the sand and having a picknick at the beach after. Then we go home for their naps. Logan won't be there, and he is the reason we don't do beach days, because he feels too old to play in the sand, understandably so.", she shared her idea.

"Alright, sounds like a great plan, I am sure the kids and Ella will love it.", Owen agreed. "We can go grocery shopping on Friday after we have taken Logan to the airport together with Layla. And then we can get the three little ones."

"Yeah, let's do that. But Layla hates buying groceries, so maybe we will have to bribe her with some magazine or something. She's not gonna like that she's the only one of her siblings who is supposed to accompany us during the shopping trip.", the neurosurgeon answered.

"We can do that.", the trauma surgeon agreed, setting the empty plate aside, so they could cuddle. "You wanna get all creative and make us some lunchables for our picknick?", he questioned.

"Definitely!", his wife joyfully replied, making him chuckle into her neck as he started nibbling it. "Even you will get one!", she happily announced, excitedly clapping her hands like Lucas always did when he was being enthusiastic about something.

"I can't wait!", the redhead responded, half-truthfully and half-jokingly. "What I really cannot wait for though is this...", he teased, slowly letting his hands run over her skin to reach her breasts and play with them. "As long as it's just us and not a threesome with the twins' daycare teacher.", he added.

"Stop it!", the brunette laughed. He would never spare her the discomfort about her crazy dream because he knew how much he could mock her with it. "I only want you.", she pointed out, not aware of how happy those words made him. She turned around to straddle her husband and just then noticed how his face had lit up upon hearing her say that. "Aww Babe, you don't have to be insecure about it. I've never stopped wanting you."

"I know, I know.", Owen quickly answered, not wanting to her to get the wrong idea about him distrusting her or something. "But...it's just nice to hear you say it, you know?", he sheepishly admitted. "I mean, you see him every day as well...and I find myself wondering at times if your feelings for him might get stronger with every time you encounter him."

"No, they don't.", his wife clarified, figuring he needed to hear her say it as clearly as she could. "But every time I encounter you, which is quite a lot of times a day, my feelings for you do get stronger.", she added. "And now I'm gonna show you how strong they actually are.", she winked at her husband, making him smile.
