Monday, 6th February:

Logan: 13; Layla: 7; Leo: 4; Twins: 1; Eleanor: 2

"We are glad you came to us about that issue with the former daycare of the twins.", the principle of Leo's pre-school told Owen and Amelia, who had just brought their toddler to her class. Jake was watching Luna and Lucas at their house. "Over there are our younger groups, so let's take a look."

"Sounds great.", the redhead smiled. "Didn't you say something about several papers we'd have to fill out?", he asked the woman, who nodded and told him to follow her into her office.

"Mrs. Hunt, you can already go ahead and meet Mr. Grady, who is currently the main supervisor of the kids that are between one and three years old. He's in room 5A.", she told the neurosurgeon who nodded and did what she had been told.

"You are Mrs. Hunt?", the well-known blonde questioned once he saw the mother, he had expected to come here today, walk in. "I should have remembered that you are wearing your husband's last name in private."

"Anton.", Amelia said, just as surprised to see the kind guy that she had almost given her broken heart to mend a while back. Mr. Grady, she knew she had heard that name before and just hadn't been able to remember where. "You're working in LA?"

"Yeah, once a very attractive woman told me off, Jess decided to move here together with her boyfriend after you had removed her brain tumor and well, lonely as I was, I chose to start over elsewhere as well.", the kindergarten teacher explained. "You?"

"Used to live here, moved to Seattle, left Seattle to live here again.", the brunette answered. They were still awkwardly standing across from each other, both in the mood to hug one another but not totally sure about it.

"Cool.", Anton chuckled. "Let's sit.", he offered and pointed to a chair she was allowed to occupy. "So, how have you been?", he asked, starting some small talk with her when suddenly her husband seemed to recognize him too.

"You of all people?", Owen questioned in shock. The principle had had to take a call, so he went ahead without her, only to find his wife with the person she had almost cheated on him with. At least that was the story she had once told him.

"Okay, let's just clarify this once and for all.", the blonde began. "Yes, I had feelings for Amelia and yes, we almost kissed back then but that is all it was. She told me off. Are you going to be able to get over it, so I can become your children's daycare teacher and supervisor, or not?"

The trauma surgeon took a whole minute to think this situation through. He wanted to say no and to tell his wife that they would find another daycare for the twins, but if he did, she would think he wasn't trusting her.

"Yes.", the redhead lied and took a deep breath before he sat down next to Amelia and handed her the paperwork. He was jealous and he knew his next step was pretty disgusting considering his wife wasn't a thing belonging to him, but he couldn't help himself and grasped her hand, noticing how sweaty hers was. "You okay?", he whispered, foolishly believing their counterpart wouldn't hear him.

"Yeah, I'm fine.", the neurosurgeon offered him a quick smile. She was hoping he wouldn't sense her lie, but the truth was that her heart had been raising ever since she had seen Anton's face, and she couldn't even tell what the reason was.

"Good, I see you've met Mr. Grady.", the principle finally joined the group that had been sitting in an awkward silence. While Owen tried to stare Anton down, he had been looking at Amelia, who had distracted herself by reading through the papers. "He's definitely one of our best and I am glad he moved here in October."

So, he had actually moved here earlier than them, the trauma surgeon thought, kind of relieved since something in him had been alarmed about the possibility of his wife having another stalker. Now that the principle had spilled that fact, he could calm down, at least a little bit.

"That's good to hear.", Amelia took over the talking, trying very hard to avoid eye contact with the blonde man across from her and focusing on the person next to him. "Lucas is a special-needs kid, as we already told you earlier. He's a selective mute."

"That is absolutely no problem.", Anton confirmed. "I mean, of course it's good of you to tell us, but we will treat him like any other child, no worries about that. Every kid is welcome in my class."

And every married woman is welcome in your bed, Owen, once again, thought to himself, eyeing the kindergarten teacher, still holding his wife's hand. She seemed nervous. More nervous than she normally would be in such a situation, and he wished he had been there from the second they had met earlier.

"I've heard that with Leo you did the one-more-hour-each-day-technique, but honestly, I would suggest another approach with the twins.", the principle distracted his thoughts. "Because if Lucas learns that it's possible for him to be picked up as early as an hour after his arrival, he's not going to want to stay. Let's say both of them stay here until after lunch for this week and from next week on, we'll keep them until the afternoon.", she made a plan, waiting for the parents' approval.

"Sounds great.", Owen replied. "Today they're with a friend, but we'll just bring them from tomorrow on together with Leo if that's alright?", he asked, taking the pen from his wife to sign the remaining paperwork.

"Yes.", the blonde man agreed. "Please take those forms home with you and give them to me tomorrow.", he added, handing a few more papers over to the couple. "That's it for today, see you tomorrow.", he happily said, smiling at both of them, but keeping his eyes locked with Amelia's, noticing how she broke eye contact by glancing at his lips.

"Bye.", the brunette almost mumbled before she left the room together with her husband, whose eyes she constantly felt on her. And honestly, she couldn't blame him since she had been behaving weirdly ever since her encounter with Anton.
