"Who?", Luna wondered when somebody had rung the bell. She glanced at her mama in confusion and got up to follow her into the hallway to see who their guest was. Her twin brother stopped playing and ran after them as well.
"It's Mr. Grady.", Amelia smiled at the one-year-olds before she opened the door and smiled at the blonde. "Hey, glad you could make it, come in.", she offered and stepped aside for the babies to run into his open arms as he knelt in front of them.
"Thank you for inviting me.", Anton said and let go of the twins to take off his shoes and jacket. "Hey, Leo!", he beamed at the toddler that was shyly peeking at them from behind the living room door. "What can I call you today?", he politely wondered.
"Hello.", the four-year-old gently waved at him. "I'm boy-Leo today.", he explained when Eleanor almost knocked him over by sprinting into the hallway to sniff the new person that had come into her house.
"Hi.", the daycare teacher laughed when the husky curiously sniffed him before she wanted him to pet her. "You are so cute.", he chuckled and booped Ella's nose, making the babies giggle.
"She is.", their mother agreed. "Let's go inside, it's much warmer there.", she informed the guest and grasped the children's hands. "Anton is here.", she told the other three family members.
"Hey, how are you?", Owen asked from his spot behind the stove and smiled. "Did the weather bother you when you came here?", he wanted to know. Overnight, there had been a big rainstorm in LA, which was kind of a challenge referring to getting anywhere safely.
"Hi, I'm good, thanks.", the blonde responded. "Smells good in here.", he praised. "Weather didn't bother me too much, thankfully.", he answered and chuckled. "Hey, you two.", he also greeted the two older Hunt children, watching Layla blush as she widely grinned at him.
"Honey, I know you're totally in love with Anton, but please leave him be, otherwise he might be uncomfortable because he cannot love you back, but also doesn't want to break your heart.", the trauma surgeon addressed his daughter before his oldest son greeted the guest back. "Sit down everyone, it's time for the first course.", he announced.
"Can I sit next to you anyway?", the seven-year-old begged her crush cutely and he smiled at her and nodded. "YAY!", her face lit up, causing her mother to chuckle as she shook her head. Lucas pointed to his supervisor as well.
"Do you want him to sit next to you?", Amelia questioned, and her tiny son nodded. He really loved Anton and it warmed the brunette's heart, especially after he had been treated so poorly for being different in the previous daycare.
"Yeah!", the small redhead eagerly nodded, causing the blonde to take a seat next to his baby-chair and in between him and Layla. Owen took his usual spot at the end of the table, so he had Luna on his left and Lucas on his right.
His wife occupied her seat in between their youngest daughter and Leo, and Logan sat down at the other end of the table. While the adults and the teenager were going to eat one course after the other, the four little children got their plates filled with some salad, chicken, rice, and a few vegetables at the same time.
"Mama, can I please have more chicken and less veggies?", the toddler begged after seeing his plate. His mother knew he didn't like anything healthy too much besides apples, so she always tried to have him try the same fruits and vegetables over and over again.
"How about a bit more chicken and you eat as many of the veggies as you want to and I'll have the rest?", the neurosurgeon tried to make a deal. She didn't want to force her son to eat food he didn't enjoy, but if she immediately took it away, there was no chance of getting him to even accept the fact that he was supposed to try it before he judged it.
"Okay.", the mini blonde cutely agreed and nodded. When Amelia looked back up, she noticed how her friend mouthed to her husband 'He's so cute.", causing the redhead to nod as he proudly smiled.
"Logan, tell me something about you, please. I feel like, I don't know you at all.", the daycare teacher addressed the oldest sibling, which made the boy pretty happy, because although he was a quiet and uncomplicated person, he was, like a lot of children, happy to be asked to talk about himself.
"Well, I love reading a lot, but I also enjoy playing video games. I like to watch sports, but I don't specifically wanna do sport because I am lazy. My greatest pleasure is eating, ask anyone, especially my parents.", the thirteen-year-old replied.
"What are you currently reading?", Anton wondered. Since he was working with children, he knew how important it was to talk to them about any fact they shared about themselves to make them feel important and valued.
"A book about a group of friends that find out a big secret about the village they live in and want to get to know what it is actually about. It's rather adventurous.", the young brunette explained. "Are you reading something at the moment?"
"Yeah, I am such a fan of Ethan Cross. I'm pretty sure you haven't heard of him, considering he's a psych thriller author, but he writes amazing books.", the blonde answered. "Thanks again for having me, Guys. The food tastes amazing."

a/n: It's me, hi I'm the problem, it's me. What can I say? My days are filled from the second I wake up to the moment I close my eyes to fall asleep. Everyone of my friends is gonna say: I told you so, and I mean, they did, but I am stubborn, so I kinda keep overloading my days with stuff to do and now I am having a huge down and need to work on my mental health for a bit. Therefore, I can't upload as often as I usually do until I feel a little better and I hope that's okay for you. :)
