"Alright, we're gonna take the little kids home.", Amelia announced. They had decided that it would make the most sense if she and Owen were the ones to be on nap-time-duty since Meredith and Derek were supposed to see some more of the museum and LA in general. "Is four fine?"

"It's perfect.", her brother said. "I'll text you where we are when it's around 3pm or we'll just call.", he informed the couple since one of them would have to come pick up half of the group because they had to take the van back home considering they had four little children to take.

Then again, the others were also six, meaning they wouldn't be able to fit into one car either, so somebody had to come help them out. Owen was carrying Luna and holding Leo's hand while Amelia held Ellis' hand and pushed Lucas, who was sitting in the stroller now.

"Bye then!", the brunette waved at the others before they walked outside to the vehicle. "I'm gonna make a potato salad and one with noodles, would you like to get some rest with the kids?", she asked her husband, who looked really conflicted about it.

"I don't want you to do all the work when you're just as tired as I am.", Owen sighed, actually very fond of the offer since he felt more exhausted than a sloth did after climbing a tree to hang out there.

"No Babe, I wanna do it. You would be in my way anyway.", his wife pointed out, not in the mood to share the kitchen and wanting to make her own mess without him looking over her shoulder all the time. "It's gonna be a long evening, so take the time you can get and sleep a bit.", she softly smiled at him. "You can take Lucas to bed later in return.", she suggested.

"I'll bring both twins to bed tonight.", the trauma surgeon replied. "Thank you, Honey.", he smiled back. Once they had arrived, he let Eleanor outside to get some of her energy out before he brought the two toddlers to bed.

They had discussed putting them in the same bed, but that was too risky considering they were allowed to stay up a little later this evening to watch a movie and maybe wouldn't want to fall asleep right now but rather chose to talk to each other.

"Oh hey, this is not our bed.", Amelia chuckled when she came back downstairs from bringing the twins to bed and found her husband resting on the couch, facing the kitchen. "Is El outside?"

"She is.", he nodded and yawned. "And I know that's not our bed, but I can watch you work from here and you are my favorite view to fall asleep to.", he answered, softly gazing at her with his loving baby blue eyes.

"Alrighty.", the neurosurgeon commented on his reply to her question and then pecked his lips as a response to his sweet explanation. "Sleep well then.", she winked at him and walked towards the isle where she would be preparing the salads at. "Oh, are you my little kitchen helper now?", she addressed the husky, who had decided to join her mama and laid down on the floor next to her feet. "You haven't been outside much today."

"Woof.", Ellie said, resting her snout on her paws while she stared up at her owner with her pleading eyes, hoping to get some rewards for being such a great kitchen helper. If she wasn't the best one, who else was?

"Shh, silly goose.", the brunette laughed, looking at Owen to see him smile with closed eyes since he was probably almost asleep but still listening to them, which made her grin. "Your dad needs some sleep.", she let the dog know. "Here, wanna try this?", she wondered, feeding the husky a noodle. "It's good, huh?", she questioned, noticing how Ella wanted another one. An hour later, her phone rang.

"Hey, can one of you come get us?", Meredith asked her sister since it was already 3pm. Owen had volunteered to be the one who left the house another time today and therefore it was time to wake him.

"Yep, he'll be there in about half an hour.", Amelia told the blonde and ended the call after saying goodbye for now. "Babe, you have to go get them.", she quietly informed her husband after crouching down next to him. She was gently stroking his right cheek with her thumb.

"Already?", the redhead whined, slowly waking up and opening his eyes. "Fine.", he pouted and sighed tiredly. "Smells good in here.", he noticed, nuzzling her nose before he kissed her forehead. "I'm gonna change and then I'll leave. Bye."

"Bye, Sleepyhead.", his wife smiled at him before she finished cleaning the counter. A few minutes later, Ellis waddled into the room, rubbing her eyes, and holding her little elephant that Leo had too. "Hey Angel, how was your nap?", she wanted to know from the small girl that stumbled into her arms.

"Good.", the mini blonde mumbled, hugging her aunt while still holding her elephant. "I dreamed that all of us were swimming in the ocean outside.", she shared. "And then we saw a dolphin."

"Oh wow, that must have been an amazing experience.", the neurosurgeon figured. She knew how badly her nieces and nephew wanted to go swimming in the ocean here in L.A., but February wasn't the time to do so.

"Yeah, but when we come visit again when it's warmer, we will go swimming, right?", Ellis wondered, wanting it confirmed. Amelia promised before she put the girl back down to go help her change into normal clothes again, but first, her niece wanted to snuggle with Eleanor for a bit.
