"Get off!", Layla tried to persuade Leo to leave the huge bed in the guestroom, to have her mother all to herself. She kept pushing her little brother, who was pouting and about to start crying, hating to be bullied like that.

"NO!", the two-year-old screamed at his sister and finally sobbed. He almost fell off the bed, because she was much stronger than him, when Amelia walked into the room and saw what was going on.

"What the...Layla, stop it!", the brunette demanded, running over to her son to catch him as he fell. She was still healing from giving birth and in the middle of postpartum, so having to do such abrupt actions was hurting her. "Why would you do this to your brother?!"

"MAMA...", Leo loudly cried, clinging to her neck, and holding onto his mother for dear life. "She mean...", he mumbled sadly, not understanding why someone would be rude to him because he hadn't done anything wrong or differently than usually.

"You're mine, I don't want to share you!", the five-year-old replied, sending her mom into shock as she listened to the words. That wasn't the first time in her life that she had heard them. "Mommy?", she wondered why she wasn't getting yelled at.

"Layla...", Amelia snapped out of her daze after a minute. "Nobody belongs to another person; do you hear me? Stop trying to control who gets to spend time with me beside you.", she calmly ordered, sending chills down her daughter's spine as she said those words.

"Something is wrong.", the little brunette realized. "Come with me, Leo!", she said, grabbing her brother's hand to pull him off the bed and take him with her as she ran to find her father. "Daddy, daddy!", she mercilessly interrupted his and Logan's game.

"What's wrong? You guys are supposed to be napping.", Owen shared in confusion. "Leo, why are you crying?", he asked while panic overcame him. "Where's your mother?", he wondered.

"She's not okay. She told me that nobody belongs to other people after I tried to push Leo off the bed and then her eyes just went blank.", his daughter explained, hoping to not get punished right now.

"Stay with your brother.", the redhead demanded. His mother was grocery shopping for them and coming back later, so he had to coordinate everything by himself. "Honey?", he slowly entered the room she was standing in. His heart skipped a beat when she hesitantly turned around to face him.

"I scared them off...", his wife whispered, hating herself for what she had done. "I am such a terrible mother.", she concluded. "But...but...Layla...she told me I am hers and she's not gonna share me and-"

"You were triggered.", the trauma surgeon immediately understood, calmly walking towards her. "I'll talk to her.", he promised. "Do you still want to take that nap with the kids?", he offered, and she nodded, her eyes filled with pain. "They'll be right back."

"What's going on with mom?", his oldest son wanted to know in worry. He had lived through all the stuff that had happened to his mother together with her and whenever he heard about her not being okay, he was alarmed.

"She's okay. Uh, your words made her think back to the bad boyfriend she had, Layla.", his dad tried his best to make his daughter understand. "And I told you many times, that mama isn't only your mother but also your siblings'. So, now it's time to join her for that nap if you guys still want to but you and I are going to have a conversation later, little Miss.", he told the five-year-old, who crossed her arms as she pouted.

"I'm sorry for scaring you...", Amelia felt extremely guilty once she watched her husband open the door to send the kids back into the room, she was waiting in. "I didn't mean to...", she informed them, humiliated.

"You don't have to be, mama.", her daughter pointed out. "I shouldn't have said it. But I get jealous sometimes.", she informed her ashamed, as if nobody had noticed before. "And it's not easy to share you with even more people now, although I love my siblings. Sorry, Leo.", she apologized to her younger brother, who had already forgotten about before.

"It fine.", the two-year-old reassured his sister and nodded cutely as to support his words with actions. He waved it off like a pro and climbed under the blanket to snuggle into his mother. He didn't understand what was going on anyway.

"I am glad you opened up about it and maybe we can find a great solution after naptime, baby.", the neurosurgeon replied, not wanting to ignore her child's honesty as she held up the sheets for her to climb under and to cuddle up to her on her other side. "It's important to talk about our feelings."

"Dad, can we see the babies?", Logan asked his father excitedly, since he couldn't really concentrate on the darts game anyway. He felt like he was old and responsible enough to hold them and hoped his parents thought so, too.

"Sure!", Owen agreed and guided his son to the bedroom, where Luna was currently waking up anyway. "Do you want to snuggle with her?", he offered and watched the boy nod. "Okay, sit down.", he ordered, lifting the baby into his arms to hand her to her brother. "You have to keep your arm under her head to support it, she cannot hold it up yet."

"During lunch, mom said that Lucas loves you the most.", the twelve-year-old giggled when his smallest brother woke up as well and looked at where he could hear his father's voice come from. "She seems to be right."
