"As for the car drive to the airport, grandma is going to come with us. She'll sleep here overnight and joins us for the ride.", Owen explained to the children during dinner. They were finally done with most of the planning of the Christmas trip. "And then it gets interesting when it comes to the plane."

"Can I sit with Zola?", Layla immediately interrupted her father excitedly. She really wanted to be with her cousin as much as possible since she adored her so much and looked up to her. "Please!"

"Not on the plane but you get to sit next to her on the bus.", her mother answered softly. The plane has rows with seats for three people each. Both, daddy and I, have to have one of the twins next to us. Since Lucas will sit with dad on the way to Germany, you will too Layla, which leaves Luna and Leo to be with me.", she added, noticing her daughter's facial expression turn into a disappointed one. "And on the way back here, we are going to switch. Is that okay with everyone?", she asked, causing Layla and Leo to nod.

"Would be if you told me where I am sitting.", Logan informed her, confused about where he was supposed to go. "And Ellie?", he questioned. His parents had to have a plan for them too.

"You get to sit with Farouk and grandma. We seated at least one adult with each baby and small kid. Sometimes there are two adults. But you are old enough to sit with your cousin and grandma.", his father replied. "Eleanor will have to be in a dog box the entire flight and we are going to get her once we landed. It's a very long flight and we will have to eat twice."

"We do have kind of an idea about how to sit in the bus. Aunt Teddy's friend will pick us up from the airport and drive us to our holiday mansion. His car is parked there, and we get to use the bus from then on. It's not a huge one, but big enough to fit all of us and El.", Amelia shared. "Only problem is that you boys probably want to sit together and that is not possible. Two of you can.", she addressed their oldest son.

"Well, Farouk and I get to sit next to each other on the plane, so I am okay with him sitting with Killian in the bus, it's only fair. How do you guys manage the seating?", the thirteen-year-old wondered.

"Layla will sit with Zola, as you heard. Lucas will be with me, Leo with mom and Luna with grandma. I would like to have Eleanor next to an adult when it comes to being calm in the bus and as I know your Aunt Maggie, she is going to want to be that person. So, would you like to sit with Uncle Andrew?", the redhead tried to find a solution that made everyone happy.

"Sure thing, he is cool.", his son beamed. Although he had started puberty, Logan was still the easiest of their kids to handle, at least in Owen's opinion, and he was extremely grateful for it. The boy made so many things so simple, it was great.

"Alrighty, so that's settled. Feel free to play some more before bedtime.", the neurosurgeon allowed her children and watched them get up. "Leo, my sweet angel, you wait please. Daddy's is going to get the babies ready for bed and your siblings will go upstairs and you and I will have a conversation.", she announced.

"Why am I in trouble?", the three-year-old pouted. "I didn't do anything bad.", he mumbled and lowered his head in shame, not even sure what he had done. He watched his mama get a book from the shelf in the kitchen.

"Oh, sweetheart. You are not!", the brunette confirmed softly and sat down next to him. "Do you know whose birthday is tomorrow?", she wanted to know and watched the boy think about it.

"Yours!", he exclaimed, pretty convinced that he was right. She shook her head. "Layla's?", he tried and failed again. "Logan's?", was another guess, but no luck. "Mine?", he asked, not believing his eyes when he saw his mom nod.

"Yes, yours. And I already know what cake I want to make for you, but I have so many options for the top. I bought smarties, since you love them so much, and I want to build a picture with them on the cake, but you get to pick the motif.", Amelia explained.

"This clown!", Leo happily responded and pointed to a picture of a colorful clown that was made out of smarties. After hearing the okay, he questioned: "Can I watch Logan play Pokémon until I have to go to bed? I really love the one that looks like a baby star in an egg."

"You mean Togepi?", his mother wondered, and he nodded excitedly. "Fine. But it won't be long until I am upstairs.", she added for his information. "Go have some fun!", she smiled and kissed her child's temple.

"If I had one, I would carry it around all day.", the mini blonde giggled cutely, making her chuckle as she watched him run upstairs. How was her small baby already four tomorrow? Five minutes later, she heard her husband come downstairs.

"The twins are down, could you take care of the other three? Leo just talked my ear off about wanting a Togepi and that he is hoping for one on his birthday, so I am going to get Eleanor and we'll walk over to that store that is almost an hour away, so I can get him one. Usually I wouldn't, but we do have some budget left for another gift.", the trauma surgeon shared his plan.

"He got you.", his wife grinned. "He knows how to manipulate people by being super sweet.", she laughed. "But I do think that he will love his plushy so much, so yeah, go get it for him. And hey, you would have had to walk Ella anyway, so what does it matter.", she said and kissed his lips before she gently hit his chest with her flat right hand and smiled at him. "Be careful, I love you."
