"What are you doing here?", Amelia wondered when Anton walked onto her property and towards her. She couldn't help but smile a little when he handed her flowers, oblivious to the fact that her husband was watching them from the dining table as he tried to do stuff for work on his laptop. "Thank you.", she chuckled.

"Well, I figured I would try my luck one more time and come visit you. Because maybe you cannot tell but I didn't want to kiss you that day for us to end in a one-night stand, I am actually attracted to you.", the blonde shared and grinned awkwardly, hoping to be able to ask her out on a date. "And I really can't get it together in front of you...so, please just let me kiss you.", he begged, taking two more steps towards her until they could already feel each other's erratic breathing.

Anton gently and slowly cupped the neurosurgeon's cheeks, making the situation even hotter than it already was. He waited for her to stare into his eyes before she closed hers, ready to be kissed by him.

Owen's blood began to boil in jealousy and if he hadn't screwed up so much, he would have run outside to hit that guy. But he wanted his wife to have the chance of figuring out if she was happier without him and with somebody else, so he just silently watched them, hurting internally.

Amelia was standing there, in front of such a kind and sexy man, waiting for him to kiss her. She could feel him lean in by the soft way he tightened his grip on her cheeks and for a second, she anticipated his lips on hers before she snapped out of it, opened her eyes, and pushed him away while she took a step back in a rush.

"I can't do this, Anton.", the brunette informed him, guiltily staring at her feet. "I have a husband and...and even though he has hurt me badly by leaving to serve, I still love him.", she realized and waited for the disappointed man to leave. Feeling defeated about having to send such a nice man away, she quietly opened the main door and walked into the living room with Eleanor, just now noticing that Owen must have been watching.

"What held you back this time?", the redhead hopefully questioned in a normally quiet voice. Now that she knew that he knew, she had expected him to go off at her as he stood up and walked towards her.

"You.", his wife answered by breathing out the word. "Because I still love you, more than I should.", she added, glancing up into his eyes which read nothing but happiness. She couldn't stop herself from walking into his open arms and letting her husband embrace her tightly. In that moment he knew she was going to forgive him eventually, that she actually wanted and tried to.

"Hi.", Owen offered his wife a soft smile and petted the husky, whose front legs were resting against his thighs, after putting the groceries down on the table. "Here, they had your favorite chocolate, so I bought one for you.", he informed the brunette and handed it to her.

"Thanks.", the neurosurgeon replied, watching him put away the groceries instead of focusing on her movie. He was trying to make up for leaving, she could definitely see that. "How often do you want me to tell you that you cannot have chocolate, Missy?", she addressed the begging dog in front of her. "Here, take a snack."

"She'll never learn that.", her husband meddled and chuckled. "What are you watching? Can I join you?", he asked, standing next to the couch she was sitting on and giving her time to choose. She nodded.

"Some romcom.", Amelia answered and put the chocolate away on the coffee table, making sure Eleanor wasn't able to reach it. "How was the shopping trip, did you get everything?", she wondered and yawned. She was too tired to remain seated, causing her to lay down and rest her head in Owen's lap, which made his heart skip a beat.

"Yeah. There were lots of people, considering it's after 8pm.", the trauma surgeon informed her softly and suddenly felt his wife grab his hand to pull it around her chest, holding it with hers. She was neither kissing him yet nor touching him during the days, which made the current situation very special to him.

"Mhh.", the brunette mumbled, slowly drifting off to sleep in his lap, feeling his other hand in her hair, giving her a gentle head massage. "I've missed you.", she muttered before she fully surrendered to sleep, leaving him to question if she meant during the last six months or when he was gone this evening.

"I've missed you, too.", Owen softly responded, entirely focusing on his sleeping wife in his lap by staring at her and still caressing her head. He had missed her so much, it hurt. He had missed this so much; them just relaxing together after a packed day.

The redhead knew that they still had a long way to go and that it would take a lot of time for Amelia to fully forgive him, if she ever could. But such intimate moments between them gave him hope and he was willing to hold on to them in order to survive seeing the pain he had caused in her eyes over and over again.

At the same time, despite being aware of how impatient he was, Owen had sworn himself to be careful with Lucas. The boy didn't need any more pain either and he would start feeling safe with him eventually.
