Friday, 23rd December:
Logan: 13; Layla: 7; Leo: 4; Twins: 1; Eleanor: 2

"Logan?", Owen called for his son again, searching the whole mansion for him. He hadn't come back downstairs after brushing his teeth and was nowhere to be found. "Logan?", he repeated, opening the door to Amelia's and his bedroom, finally finding him in their bed. "Sweetie, what's wrong?", he asked.
"Nothing.", the thirteen-year-old mumbled, hiding under his mother's covers. "I'm fine.", he sobbed and pressed his face into Amelia's pillow again. Suddenly, he felt some weight on the other side of the bed and looked up, just to see his father climb into bed with him.
"No matter what it is Baby, I've got you! I promise, I've got you!", the redhead told his son and protectively wrapped his arms around the boy, who started clinging to him and cried into him. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. But I am here for you, angel."
"L...look.", Logan sniffled ten minutes later, after he had calmed down a little in his dad's arms. He showed him a chat on his phone and started crying again upon seeing it.
Jason: Only gays use that many emojis.
Tara: What? He only texted us Merry Christmas...
Drake: Doesn't make him less of a pussy. Gays deserve no rights and he'll be our next victim.
Jason: Exactly! He is sick.
"I'll take this to the principal as soon as the schoolyear continues!", the trauma surgeon informed the teenager in horror. "I swear, I'll make sure they get a deserved punishment. But Honey, you know better than to believe this...shit. And I never use such language in front of you guys. This is just nonsense. You're not sick!"
"But I feel like I am. I obviously don't fit.", the young brunette contradicted. "I have my group of friends and that's it.", he added, in too much pain to elaborate more. "Atlas never worries about being gay."
"Because it is nothing to worry about, Love.", his father insisted in a soft voice. "You have your friends and Atlas. Those are the people that value and deserve you. You might not fit with everybody but believe me, there are humans you don't want to have the slightest thing to do with.", he responded. "Is that why you stopped joining clubs at school? Has this been going on for longer?"
"Yeah. I didn't wanna be around my bullies all the time, so I quit.", the teenager answered sadly. "Has been going on since the second half of the last schoolyear. Almost a year now.", he admitted quietly.
"What? Why didn't you say something sooner?", Owen wanted to know, shocked by what he had heard. "You can always talk to us about such stuff...about everything.", he informed his son in a desperate way.
"Because at the beginning I thought it would stop. And then you left...Lucas got sick, Mom's heart was shattered, she was exhausted all the time. I didn't want to add to her sorrows. So, I just...I lived with it.", Logan confessed. "I just don't understand why people get bullied for who they love. I don't get how somebody could fall in love with girls and women, but I would never say something bad about it."
"God, I'm so sorry, Sweetie.", the redhead sighed. He didn't know what else to say. Him leaving had destroyed so much and only now did he realize the aftermath of it. "Can you screenshot this and send it to me? I'll write an email to your principal tonight."
"Okay.", the thirteen-year-old nodded. It sounded like it didn't really matter to him, but he was glad that his dad was going to do something about the situation. "I love you, Dad!", he said. "And I don't want you to feel guilty now that you know when it started and why I didn't say something earlier. It's not your fault. I told you now and this is when I expect you to help me, which clearly you are going to do."
"I love you too, Baby!", the trauma surgeon let his son know and tightened the hug. He was so mature for his age and although he was currently feeling like crap, he still didn't want to make his father feel bad, which was both, a very generous personality trait but also a really dangerous one.
"Here you are!", Amelia walked into the room after searching for them for a while. "What's wrong?", she asked, confused about seeing them cuddle in the middle of the day. That was totally not like puberty-Logan.
"Woof!", Eleanor joined the conversation and jumped onto the bed to also get some snuggles from her child and to comfort him since she could sense his sadness. She decided to lay down right on top of him.
"Dad can tell you later.", the boy informed his mother, causing her to be even more confused. "I gotta cuddle my dog.", he said. "When are we leaving for the indoor playground?", he wondered.
"That's why I walked through the whole house to find you. In fifteen minutes. So, get ready please.", the neurosurgeon told her husband and son. "Ellie stays here with Grandma, and they will have a wonderful day together, since Evelyn doesn't wanna come."
"Understandable. If I was her, I wouldn't come either.", Logan shared. "She's too old to have fun there, so if she would join us, she'd have to watch some of us and that can't possibly be a fun thing to do."
"Well, thanks, Mr. Smartypants.", the brunette chuckled and shook her head. "Being an adult isn't that much fun, you got that one right. But seeing your children have a great day makes up for it.", she winked at him. "Now get ready."
