"Good morning!", Anton greeted Owen, Amelia and the twins. Since the couple was working the same hours today, they had decided to drop off the children together. "Did you bring the accessory I have asked you to bring?", he asked.

"Yes, it's in Luna's bag. We packed her one of my scarfs and a shirt that belongs to Owen. Hopefully this works.", the brunette replied as she took off her daughter's jacket while her husband worked on their son.

"I am pretty positive that it will. Never not worked before, plus she is just a step away from falling asleep without any help. But I just figured that there's no reason to have her suffer when we do have the power to change it and help her fall asleep more easily.", the blonde explained.

"True. Does Friday still work for you?", the trauma surgeon questioned since they had invited the daycare teacher for dinner as planned. "Otherwise, we can agree on another date.", he kindly offered.

"Yes, Friday is perfect. Thank you!", Anton smiled at the other man. "Say goodbye to mama and daddy, Sweeties.", he addressed the twins, who were hugged by their parents before they grabbed one of his hands each and let their supervisor guide them into the room.

"What are we cooking on Friday?", Amelia wanted to know from her husband since their way to work was a good time to brainstorm. "And who's going to buy the groceries beforehand?", she added. Finding time to go shopping wasn't easy with full-time jobs and five children. Also, Friday was in two days.

"You mean, what am I cooking?", the redhead teased. His wife could cook by now because he had taught her, but whenever guests were over that had never visited before, she was too shy to make food and it was his job.

"Yes.", the neurosurgeon nonchalantly agreed and nodded. "I don't have time to buy stuff, because I am working so much this week to be off on the weekend again.", she reminded him and sighed, stressed by the thought of planning this dinner.

"No worries, since I am working on Saturday and Sunday, I took off on Friday. Therefore, I am going to drop the kids off in the morning and go grocery shopping after. As long as you're home in the afternoon, so I can prepare dinner, it all works out.", Owen calmed her down.

"That's great, but still doesn't answer the question of what we are going to make.", his wife pointed out. "We've had your special lasagna on Monday already.", she remembered, so that wasn't an option.

"Babe, it doesn't have to be super fancy.", the trauma surgeon said as they climbed into the car. He started the engine and drove towards the hospital, grasping her hand. "I feel like you think that the dinner has to be somewhat gigantic and extravagant. But Anton is a daycare teacher. He knows how stressful it is to handle children."

"Well, I did want to have a three-course-meal prepared.", the brunette admitted and sighed, because her idea really was a little unrealistic. "And I have no clue of what to do for the main dish.", she added.

"Yeah, you just told me that for the millionth time.", her husband chuckled softly, guiding her hand to his lips. "And we can still make those three courses, just not super extra stuff. How about we start with a simple vegetable salad. Then, we can have chicken with rice and broccoli or baby carrots. That dish can look fancy without being too much work and everyone likes it. And for dessert, let's just bake some chocolate chip cupcakes with frosting. I can do that with Layla and Logan tomorrow before their bedtime. They'd love to help. Sounds good?"

"Sounds perfect, actually.", Amelia answered, her face lighting up as the stress subsided. "I'm glad you're able to stay calm whenever I cannot.", she giggled, realizing how annoying her whining must have been.

"Well, you have other qualities that I lack.", the redhead flirted as he drove into his regular parking spot and stopped the car. "Are you going to work at the hospital sometime today?", he wondered.

"Nah, tomorrow. Today I'm at the practice until I get off.", the neurosurgeon responded. "But text me when you have time for lunch, I'd love to grab a bite with you. Maybe Addie and the others will join us.", she smiled at him. "Bye.", she beamed and kissed her husband's lips before she left. "Love you!"

"I love you, too!", Owen shouted after his wife, who was almost out of sight already. "Crazy lady.", he chuckled and shook his head. He was so in love with Amelia, no matter how much she could cause him to freak out, his whole heart belonged to her and every day, he got reminded that she was indeed the love of his life.
