"Mama, I'm sorry if I made you sad today by asking about my other parents.", Leo told her mother after she had brought her to bed. "I'll never love anyone more than you and daddy.", she informed her sweetly.

"You didn't, Honey. You have every right to be curious about the people that made you and it was not okay of me to keep the truth from you. I just love you so much, I want to protect you from any possible pain.", Amelia told her daughter.

"I like the way my new room looks.", the four-year-old shared after glancing around another time. Together with Addison and Jake, they had finished the kids' rooms today and tomorrow they would work on the house some more with the other couple and some of Amelia's other friends from L.A.

"Yeah? I am glad.", the brunette beamed at her child. "Now it's time to sleep, Sweetheart. I've already read to you.", she reminded the toddler, who had been looking at her as if she had forgotten something.

"Ugh, thought you might have forgotten that during our conversation.", the mini blonde giggled, receiving tickles after, and laughing even more. "I think I spent too much time with Layla because she's the naughty one.", she grinned. "But she's also very kindhearted."

"I agree, she is really cheeky but also such a caring person.", her mother replied and then kissed her daughter's head. "Good night, Baby. Can't wait to see you in the morning, freshly woken up."

"Good night, Mama. Cannot wait to see you either!", Leo answered and then closed her eyes, listening to her mom leaving the room. Amelia walked back downstairs to join the others, thinking Owen had brought Layla to bed meanwhile.

"Mommy, can I play a round of gimmick with all of you, please?", the seven-year-old asked. "Please Mama, daddy said he wouldn't mind but he wants you to decide because usually I have to go to bed now. But tomorrow I don't have to go to school.", she reminded her mother.

"One round and no pouting after, alright?", the brunette suggested a deal to her kid, who nodded in agreement. "Good, let's play then.", she smiled at her husband, her friends and the remaining three kids. Eleanor got to run around the yard outside.

"Can I sit with you, Auntie Addie?", Layla wanted to know from her aunt, who was so happy to be asked that question and let the girl climb into her lap. "Pretty sure, I'm gonna win.", she announced, causing everyone to chuckle.

"Gimmick is a game, in which you have to roll dices, Layls.", Logan reminded his little sister. "There is no way of knowing if you'll win because it's fully based on coincidence and luck.", he explained.

"Look at you, so smart.", the young brunette teased her brother and rolled her eyes at his way of showing off his intelligence. "I'm the main character, not you.", she clarified until her father stopped her.

"Okay Angel, that's enough.", Owen told her softly. "Henry, how's life going?", he included the other boy in the conversation, feeling like it was weird to watch his children bicker like that in front of everyone, even if they were only joking around.

"Oh my God Babe, how old are you?", his wife scoffed in amusement. "That sounds like a question some grandpa would ask.", she added and shook her head as she smirked before she cupped her husband's left cheek with her hand and kissed his right one.

"You're mean, I was just interested.", the redhead pouted and turned to her to whisper something in her ear. "You're gonna pay for calling me out like that during sex tonight.", he told her, making sure nobody else would listen in.

"It's good. Dad and I started sailing, right Dad?", the thirteen-year-old asked his father to confirm what he had said, and Jake agreed. "And other than that, I like painting and watching movies.", he said. "Mom, your turn to roll the dices!"

"Oh sorry, that's...that's my boyfriend.", Logan interrupted the conversation when his phone screen lit up with Atlas' picture since the boy wanted to facetime him. He hadn't told his aunt and uncle about his sexuality yet but was too tired of hiding it, especially since his parents kept telling him that it was extremely normal. "Can I talk to Atlas for a moment?", he wondered.

"Of course, Honey.", the trauma surgeon allowed it and nodded. "I'm gonna prepare some snacks meanwhile.", he figured and watched his son walk out onto the deck that led to the yard. "He really misses his boyfriend.", he sighed, feeling bad for his oldest child.

"I can tell.", Addison responded softly. "But as long as they get to keep talking each day, they'll probably make it. Speaking of love, do you have somebody in your life, Sweetie?", she addressed her own kid, who didn't speak about such stuff.

"Nope, but I also don't have to. I'm only thirteen and others haven't had a relationship until their twenties, which is fine too by the way. I'm not as wild as Auntie Amelia.", Henry pointed out and giggled when he saw the neurosurgeon's eyes widen.

"What did mama do?", Layla curiously questioned. "When did you have your first relationship, Mommy?", she kept asking. "And was it with a boy, a girl, or a non-binary person?", she wanted to know.

"Wow, what a smart and tolerant little girl you are, Layla.", Jake praised the seven-year-old. She was still in primary school, but the way she talked about stuff made her seem like she was already a teenager as well.

"She is. And I am not wild, Henry.", Amelia let her godson know, making everyone laugh. "I might have been but you're right. It's okay to wait with your first relationship, but at the same time, it's okay to be in love at a young age, the way Logan is. To answer your question Layla, I had my first boyfriend in kindergarten, and it was a very serious relationship.", she sarcastically shared.
