"You shouldn't have forgiven me just like that.", Owen pointed out, trying to clean the wound on his temple himself, when his girlfriend came back into the living room. "I'm grateful you did but the situation with that guy was an entirely different one. Just because you think it was worse than what I have done yesterday, shouldn't be the reason you forgive me. I was awful to you and I'm just...I'm so sorry! You're not some baby-making-machine to me."

"Thank you.", Amelia mumbled gratefully, walking towards Leo to give him a kiss when he smiled up at his mama, busy with his little walking bike. Then she took over the task of cleaning Owen's wound and treating it gently.

"I mean it. I was in pain because I expected the baby to be mine and when it wasn't I was so hurt. And I guess I didn't want to be hurt alone.", the redhead sighed, ashamed of himself. "You deserve better than that."

"I do.", the neurosurgeon rightfully agreed and nodded. "But it's okay. Apology accepted.", she repeated, wrapping her arms around his body from the side and kissing his cheek softly.

"Who was that guy?", the trauma surgeon questioned, shifting on the couch, so they could snuggle. "Do you need to talk about what happened?", he worried, kissing his girlfriend's head. "You've changed your outfit.", he shared his observations.

"His name is Hugo, and he was a friend of James. I only saw him twice though. Once in LA and once when his parents had kidnapped me. I actually forgot about him...well, until today. And I've changed because I liked the dress but now that he found it sexy enough, he would have...uhm...I guess I'll just throw it away.", the brunette sighed, trying not to think back to that scary situation.

"Okay, if that makes you feel better.", her boyfriend agreed, winking at his son, who was happily strolling through the living room, causing the baby to giggle. "I love you so much. Just know that you can talk to me. I notice that right now that is not what you want but whenever you feel like it, speak to me.", he offered softly.

"Thank you, babe!", Amelia said. "Can I do something for you? Do you need some aspirin? I'd have a major headache after being hit in the head with a gun.", she imagined, looking up at him from her spot in his arms.

"Well, I took some when you were showering.", Owen informed her. "But since you're asking...", he smirked, so she sat up and curiously glanced at him, still holding his hand, and caressing it with her thumb. "I loved it when you decided to cook for me. Maybe you could do that again? If you're up for it?"

"You're saying you liked my food so much; you want to eat something else made by me?", the neurosurgeon wanted it confirmed and bit her lower lip when he nodded. "Alright. Anything on your mind? Something easy please. Leo needs sustenance as well and I'd like for him to not get poisoned by me."

"How about pasta a la you?", the redhead suggested as he chuckled because of her joke. "Great, thank you.", he beamed once she had given her okay. "Can I kiss you?", he carefully wondered.

"Yeah, you don't have to ask that every time.", the brunette told him. "But I appreciate it.", she added. "Can we move though?", she caught him off guard, feeling like she should explain herself once she saw his face. "Look, this used to be James' and my house. Then you moved in, and I loved that but soon after I heard he had committed suicide. I was shot here, you lived here with Teddy when I got kidnapped, you proposed, I broke off the engagement, I have my therapy sessions in this house and only two of them left. I lost our baby while we lived here. And I got attacked again. We don't even have enough room for more kids. Let's just...leave our old life behind and start over in another house...in our house, which is supposed to be a safe place for our children and us."

"I would love that very much! We can start looking at houses as Leo naps and do visits once you feel ready.", her boyfriend made a plan, already picturing everything the new house needed to have.

"Yeah, that sounds really perfect.", Amelia beamed, glad that he had agreed so quickly. "So, when do you think Logan will tell us about being in a relationship with Atlas? Whenever he has him over, they awkwardly try to hide it."

"Oh, come on!", the trauma surgeon scoffed in amusement. "You're such a nosy mom, honey.", he shook his head as he laughed. "Logan will tell us once he feels ready. Maybe he enjoys being in a secret relationship for now because there aren't many questions. He's only eleven and honestly, I don't even want to be there when my mother finds out he's gay."

"Why?", the mama-bear stared at him in surprise. "Do you think she would judge him? Tell him that it's not okay or something.", she wanted to know, actually considering Evelyn a rather tolerant person.

"She's old-fashioned, Ames. Of course, she wouldn't try to hurt her grandson and she would accept it eventually. But if he sees that she's confused for even a second, he will doubt himself and I can't have that.", Owen desperately explained. "I cannot live with my baby doubting himself for something that is normal. I would freak out on the spot.", he added, melting his girlfriend's heart, and watching her face light up while she listened to him. "What?", he whined cutely.

"You.", the neurosurgeon started, giving him a kiss. "Are.", she repeated her former actions. "The.", she continued and did it again. "Very.", she informed him, kissing him another time. "Best.", she said, pecking his mouth. "Father.", she finished, taking her sweet time to explore his lips with hers and even using tongue as they became more passionate.

"WEO!", their son yelled, intentionally destroying his parents' moment of love to get some himself. He reached up his arms to be lifted into their middle and giggled when his dad granted his wish.

"Leo is a very demanding child.", his mother let him know with a grin on her face as she poked his cheeks and nuzzled his nose, receiving a slobbery kiss from him. "How are you almost two, sweetie?", she pouted.

"Whoo (two)!", the one-year-old repeated happily, letting Owen help him raise two of his tiny fingers, causing him to beam up at his father, in whose lap he was sitting. He started laughing loudly when he watched him make faces.

"I am so happy to be in a family of clowns.", Amelia chuckled, kissing both their heads. "I'm gonna go get lunch ready.", she announced, leaving them on the couch and waving back at the tiny blonde boy, who was weirdly moving his hand.
