"Alrighty, Eleanor is sleeping in her crate, time to continue clearing out those boxes.", Amelia said. Evelyn and she had been doing that since Monday. After work, Owen always came here to get some stuff done as well, like putting furniture together.

Sometimes, Derek joined him. It wasn't that his fiancé wasn't capable of helping them, she just didn't want to because she was too lazy. During the days, the kids were at school and daycare.

"What is it, dear?", Evelyn asked in worry when she noticed the brunette, who was working on one of the bathroom boxes, stare at a pregnancy test in her hands. "Are you okay?", she softly wondered.

"What if I can't get pregnant again? I've had an abortion and a miscarriage. What if I miscarry all of my future babies?", the neurosurgeon mumbled, deep in thought. "I really want to have more kids with Owen."

"Sweetheart, it is not a race.", the grey-haired woman reminded her. "But it is okay to be afraid. And if you feel like you might be pregnant, which you definitely still can be, take the test. If it is positive, then you can start to imagine certain scenarios and we can prepare whatever it takes to keep you and the baby safe.", she smiled. "Are you going to give it a name starting with an L again?", she tried to distract her with positive thoughts.

"Probably. I mean, I have never intended to have all of my children's names start with the same letter, but sometimes I believe it was fate.", Amelia shrugged. "I really like Lora, Lucy or Luna for a girl and Lucas, Landon or Luis for a boy, but Owen and I haven't talked about it yet. How did you pick your kids' names?"

"By fighting my husband, who was going to call our son Eugene.", her future-mother-in-law replied, causing them both to start laughing. "So, I just went with the first name I came up with and let them put it on the birth certificate. And Owen was actually the one to choose his little sister's name."

"Now that's too crazy for me.", the brunette chuckled. "We are going to spend our first night here since we have everything we need to live. Feel free to try out one of the two guest bedrooms.", she offered.

"Actually, I think I would really like to, since we won't be able to finish this today and will continue tomorrow.", her counterpart accepted. "I'll make lunch while you are walking Ellie.", she added.

"Are you excited to sleep in your new bed?", the neurosurgeon asked her one-year-old as she changed his diaper. "It's really comfy and I am sure you will love it.", she encouraged him and beamed, making him giggle.

"Wove wit!", Leo repeated happily, letting his mother wrap him into his little blanket, before she started singing to him. He was slowly closing his eyes, always trying to hum along because he didn't know how to speak words while humming a melody.

"Hush little baby, don't say a word. Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And if that mockingbird doesn't sing, mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring. And if that diamond ring turns to brass, mama's gonna buy you a looking glass. And if that looking glass gets broke, mama's gonna buy you a horse and cart.", Amelia sang, always cutting out the middle part since her son wouldn't notice that it didn't rhyme anymore anyway. "And if that horse and cart fall down, you'll still be the sweetest little baby in town.", she finished. "Good night, I love you."

"You are the absolute cutest mom, you know that?", her fiancé whispered from where he had been watching her, leaning at the door frame. "He loves being sang to by you.", he informed her and pecked her lips after she had closed the door and handed him the baby phone. "Layla is waiting for you, and I will take a hot shower since my shoulders are really tense."

"I'm aware, thank you very much.", the brunette grinned and bit her lower lip. "Okay. See you in a few minutes.", she told him, walking into her daughter's room. She was patiently waiting for her mother by thinking of a story the stickers on her walls could be telling. "Hi, munchkin."

"Mommy!", the five-year-old beamed. "Can we read something together today?", she requested. Most of the time, she wasn't in the mood to join in on the reading and just listened, but today she wanted to show off her skills.

"Of course, let's read about Dog and Cat.", her mother decided and let Layla read the first page out loud, before she continued with the next one. "So, what was your most favorite thing today, baby?", she wanted to know once they were done.

"Getting to play in my very new room for the first time.", her child excitedly shared. "I love you, mama.", she added as Amelia made sure she was all set up with her plushies, pillows and blanket. "Nighty."

"Well, now you get to sleep in it.", the neurosurgeon winked at her. "Good night Layls, I love you too.", she said softly. "Not that much.", she let her know, showing a tiny space with her fingers. "Not that much.", she repeated, making the space a little bigger. "But this much!", she pointed out, widening her arms as much as she could.

"Mom, can I read for another hour, please?", Logan begged. "Dad allowed it.", he tried to convince her. "I am almost done with my book and if I had another hour, I would be able to finish it."

"Okay, buddy. But I'll come back here when it's 8pm and then I want to see you try to fall asleep.", the brunette allowed it. "Good night, I love you, angel!", she told him and kissed his forehead. "Have some wonderful dreams."
