Amelia stirred to the soft scratches of her husband's beard against her neck and jawline as well as some gentle kisses. She slowly opened her eyes while she yawned, taking in her surroundings as she woke up.

"Hey, Sleeping Beauty!", Owen whispered. "How did you sleep?", he wanted to know, pretty sure he already knew the answer to his question, but he wanted it confirmed. "It's 8am and nobody is awake yet.", he informed her.

"That's impossible!", the brunette exclaimed. "But I slept like a baby. Didn't even wake up once.", she mumbled and turned around in the trauma surgeon's arms to snuggle with him. "How did you sleep?"

"Great. Although I did wake up twice and had to check your pulse both times since you were so deeply asleep...you haven't seemed that peaceful in a while.", the redhead pointed out.

"I haven't felt that peaceful in a while.", his wife shared. "Are you sure nobody is awake yet?", she questioned in confusion. Normally, all of their children but Logan weren't sleeping longer than 7:30am. "I'm gonna check on them.", she decided.

"Orrrr you could make out with me.", the trauma surgeon suggested, cupping her cheek to stroke it with his thumb as he stared into her eyes and smiled at her. "I'm happy that you're so happy.", he softly informed her.

"Like this you mean?", Amelia wondered as she rolled on top of her husband and started straddling him before she crashed her lips against his. "You know what? Let's wait with that until tonight.", she grinned, knowing very well that he hated being teased by her like that.

"Ames, no!", Owen whined, feeling the bulge in his pants that he would have to erase by taking a cold shower, now that his wife had stopped kissing him. "You're such a meanie.", he sighed as he walked into their ensuite.

"I know.", the neurosurgeon giggled and waved at him. Then she left the bedroom and quietly opened Luna's door, only to find Leo next to her in her bed. "How did you get in there?", she wanted to know as she caught her kids playing with each other.

"I climbed through the bars because I am smart enough to know how to.", the four-year-old cleverly answered. "But I waited for Luna to wake up first.", she added, not wanting her mother to be mad.

"That's nice of you, my little Smarty.", her mom replied. "Now come cuddle with me, you two.", she beamed at them and lifted the toddler out of the bed first before she did the same with the baby. "She or he today?"

"She.", Leo told her mama and hugged her tightly. "Can I go to the bakery down the street with daddy once he is ready? He said he would go.", the little girl asked excitedly and clapped her hands when her mother nodded.

"Let's go grab an outfit for you to wear.", Amelia suggested, causing the mini blonde to run back into her room and pick one out that she was carrying into the bathroom, so her dad could help her get ready and put it on. "Now let us get your brother and cuddle in mommy's and daddy's bed.", she addressed her youngest daughter.

"Hejo (hello)!", Luna yelled and happily waved at her same-aged brother when they entered his room, where he was slowly waking up, rubbing his eyes, and starting to cry upon being ripped from his sleep so cruelly.

"No!", Lucas began to throw a tantrum, so his mother closed the door behind herself to make sure that the two oldest children could continue sleeping. "NO!", he screamed again, very angry at the circumstances.

"Hey, my sweet Angel.", the brunette softly greeted him after putting his sister down for now. She immediately developed interest in the colorful rug she was sitting on, which Addison had put in front of the baby's bed. "Why are you so mad? Did your sister wake you?"

"Uh-huh.", the one-year-old mumbled and nodded as he pouted while letting his mama lift him into her arms. He still barely screamed, so he had to be truly angry. Sometimes it wasn't the easiest task to keep a healthy balance between the twins.

While Luna was very energetic, kind of loud and super social, Lucas still was a selective mute and also rather quiet and calm by nature. Noises still bothered him, and he didn't like being yelled at by his siblings, especially not when he was sleeping, understandably so.

"Okay, don't cry, Honey. She didn't mean to upset you.", his mother calmed down her son before she held her hand out for her daughter to take and brought them into the bedroom, where Eleanor was extremely ready for morning snuggles.

"Good morning!", Layla walked into the room about ten minutes later. She was wearing a summerly dress and sunglasses as she climbed into her parents' bed. Right in that moment, Owen and Leo came out of the bathroom and just stared at the girl the same way Amelia did. "What's up?", she wanted to know.

"Uhm, it's still winter.", her father pointed out and frowned at his kid. She was already a handful and if he was honest, he wished she would never start puberty. "Would you please change before breakfast? You can stay like this for now but there's neither sun, nor is it warm enough for a dress. Just because we are living in Los Angeles now, doesn't mean you can walk around like this in winter."

"Then what was the whole point of moving here?", the seven-year-old dramatically complained and crossed her arms, pissed that her morning had been destroyed just like that. She kept pouting, even as her mom embraced her gently, since the neurosurgeon was aware of how sensitive Layla was even with her bold personality.

"You can wear that outfit for now while we cuddle and then again when it's warmer outside.", Amelia promised her daughter and kissed her head. "But daddy is right, and you have been sick not too long ago.", she reminded her kid.
