"Amelia, hey!", Violet beamed at her friend, who had just opened the door for them, and embraced her gently. "It's so so good to see you!", she beamed at the brunette and let her hug everyone else too.

"It's so great to see you, Guys!", the neurosurgeon smiled at her friends and let them in. "Over there is the living room.", she informed them. "Logan, Honey, our guests are here, please come downstairs for a minute.", she yelled up the stairs. "Do you wanna introduce yourself, Sweetie?", she addressed the toddler, who was sitting on the couch, watching the group with big eyes.

"I'm Leo.", the four-year-old mumbled shyly and waved a little. He looked down at his hands after, feeling really nervous. Suddenly, the mini blonde started sniffling. "Ma...mama...", he whispered as he started sobbing in fear.

"Oh Baby, you don't need to be scared.", Amelia sympathized with her child and picked him up to calm him down. "These people are mommy's friends, they are extremely kind.", she told him and motioned for her friends to sit down.

"Bu...but your bad boyfriend...he...he was part of the group, right?", Leo cried, afraid somebody would hurt his mother. He tightened his grip around her neck to snuggle into her more. "I wanna protect you."

"Love, my bad boyfriend was part of the group, yes. But only because I dated him, and nobody could have known about him being bad. Everyone else is so sweet and kind and they really wanna meet you. Look, Auntie Addie and Uncle Jake are here too.", the brunette explained.

"O...okay.", the toddler finally calmed down and looked at everyone again. "I'm sorry for being scared of you.", he apologized to his mom's friends and let her put him down, so he could go snuggle Eleanor.

"Sweetheart, don't ever be sorry about being scared again. It's totally fine.", Cooper smiled at the young kid, causing Leo to nod cutely. "So, who are these two cutie pies?", he asked his friend, referring to the twins.

"Those are Luna and Lucas, our social butterfly and our quiet mouse.", the neurosurgeon proudly shared. "Lucas is a selective mute, so this right now is quite the experience for him. Please don't get too close to him. He's the one who chooses if he gets closer to you.", she softly let them know.

"Wow, you've grown!", the group heard Logan joke as he came down the stairs and walked into the living room, making everyone chuckle and laugh. The other children were all at school, meaning the adults hadn't brought them.

"If this isn't my small munchkin all grown up...", Charlotte replied and got up to embrace her best friend's son. Ever since he had been born, she had a soft spot for the now thirteen-year-old.

"Yep, it's me, I guess.", the young brunette shrugged and greeted everyone else too. "No new babies, I see.", he pouted, having hoped for more LA kids. He felt like his younger siblings were annoying, but they were also super cute sometimes.

"Excuse me? You just called us old.", Sam laughed. "Your mother has always been the youngest in our group, so it kinda adds up that she also has the youngest children.", he added, taking his wife's hand in his. "You're so handsome, Man.", he winked at the boy. "Just like your siblings.", he said.

"Stop with the compliments or I'm gonna blush.", the teenager responded. "Now, why are you crying?", he wanted to know from Leo and sat down next to him to lift him into his lap. "Is Lucas okay?", he wondered, looking at his mother. If the toddler was scared, his youngest brother would definitely be too.

"They are both fine.", Amelia answered. "As long as Lucas stays in the playpen with Luna, he feels safe.", she said. "Now, would you Guys like to drink something?", she questioned her friends.

"I'm gonna help you.", Addison decided. "Where's that cute husband of yours and where's your little Queen?", she asked. She had met Layla as a very outgoing person, who always wanted to be present. So, not seeing her now was rather confusing.

"They are at the beach. Layls watched somebody play volleyball this morning and she really wanted to join them, so Owen went with her after breakfast. They should be back soonish.", her sister informed her. "Alrighty, does anyone have any preferences? Logan, can you kinda watch the twins, please?"

"Can you bring them upstairs? Then I will.", the thirteen-year-old wondered, causing his mother to share her plan of letting them play in the playpen. She just wanted a calmer environment for the babies, and somebody had to stay with them. "Yeah, sure. Leo, you can come with us, too."

"No, thank you. I wanna watch my cartoon in mommy and daddy's room.", his brother told him. "I'm gonna take Eleanor with me, so she doesn't bother you.", he informed his mom and her friends.

"Thank you Honey, that's very nice of you. Thanks, Logan.", Amelia smiled at her children and kissed both their heads, before she lifted Lucas into her arms, while Sheldon did so with Luna. Meanwhile, Addison and Jake grabbed the playpen to bring it upstairs. "Okay, none of you responded when I asked if you had a preference, so I guess you don't. Then again, there's so much stuff to do, I don't even know how to coordinate the whole thing."

"Just let me do it.", Charlotte took over. "The master bedroom is off limits right now. We're exactly nine people, so let's split into groups of 3 and Owen can join one of those once he's back or something.", she figured.

"Sounds good. Glad you're taking over because although I am bossy, I am not in the mood to make plans of who takes care of which room.", the brunette chuckled. "So, who is going to do what with whom?"

"Jake, Addison and I will work on the two studies. Sheldon, Amelia, Sam, your task is finishing up the guestrooms. Coop, Naomi and Violet, you are going to take care of the living room and I doubt you'll have time to do anything else.", the blonde decided for everyone. "Does that work for everybody?"

"Yup.", the choir of friends responded and got to work. Amelia loved being around her LA friends since no matter how long she would leave, whenever she came back, it always felt like she had come home to another part of her family.

Hey! Long time, no see! :) Exam phase started and I figured now is the perfect time to get back into writing, because studying isn't as fun. (Jokes aside, this actually means I'm still busy lol, but I've studied two lectures earlier, so I guess it's fine to take a break now. I'm hoping to get back to uploading more again.
