Security was at ridiculous levels since their press conference after the prize ceremony. People left and right wanted a piece of their asses and Taehyung and Jungkook were escorted by no less than three bodyguards as they left their friends' apartment.
Weirdly enough, they were getting used to it. They still missed being able to do whatever they wanted to do, whenever they wanted to do it, like crazy, but they had also started to miss the times when there were just Bonbon and Bikram around them.
Hanging in the background.
Making them feel safe.
This level of security didn't make anyone feel safe.
Quite the opposite, actually.
But Bonbon, being the wise adviser in these things as he was, had encouraged them to keep living as usual as best they could and not become freaking hermits or circumsise their lives too much.
It would just start to take a toll on their mental health, and help drive them into depression.

"Whattaya think, baby doll?" Taehyung asked, lying in Jungkook's arms, in the backseat of their chauffeur driven transportation for the evening.
Fine.
Their van.
"Should we become their neighbours?" he wondered.
"I reeeeaaalllly wouldn't mind having a place of our own again, but." Jungkook sighed.
"Yeah, it's gonna be a bit tight, especially since neither of us is making any money right now, but, I think we could make it work?"
"You know," Jungkook kissed Tae on the tip of his ear, "I thought this whole thing we're doing was to let us continue doing the things we do, like, wasn't that the whole point, at one point?"
"You're right." Tae chuckled at the impossible sentence, "It was. We should look for work, well I have a job, but." he made a face.
"You could go into modeling?" Jungkook suggested.
"I could." Taehyung agreed, polishing his finger nails on his chest bone and then blowing on them, "But," he sat up and turned to Jungkook, "do you know who actually offered me a job, once?"
"No? Who?" Jungkook doed.
"Mr Kim." Tae said and curled his lips in on a nod.
"Seriously?"
"Yup."
"Wow." Jungkook slumped deeper into his seat, "As what?"
"I don't know." Tae leaned back, too, "I suggested ornamentation, but." he shrugged.
"I'm telling you, you and Minho should team up and do your thing and, shit, you'd win every freaking case!" Jungkook nodded, enthusiastically.
"Yeah, well, maybe I should talk to him? Mr Kim?"
"You should." Jungkook nodded, "And I shall talk to Coach and see what my options there are. It's that or New Zealand." he shrugged.
"And Yoongles." Tae sat up straight again, "I mean, fine, you've got a year left, but, half of that's worked placed, no?"
"Huh. You're right. As per usual." Kook smiled, "Come here, my brilliant man!" he pulled him back into his arms again, "Cutest, brightest, little alien in the whole world!" he cooed, and rubbed their noses together.
"Aish." Tae slapped him, "You're so silly!"
"Silly-nilly." Jungkook agreed and rubbed their noses again.
"With a willy." Tae giggled.
"We're here." one of the bodyguards said as the car came to a stop at the underground garage at their current hotel.
"Oh, joy." Tae sighed, and sat up again.

"Ok." Taehyung said, all business, and sat down at the dinner table and motioned to Jungkook to do the same, "Let's talk about this like adults and figure out what we want to do." he scratched his head, "'Cause honestly, ever since the Olympics it kind of feels like we've been tossed around in a small rowing boat out on a stormy sea, going every wich way the waves push us."
"Baby, I'm sorry." Jungkook leaned over the table to clasp Tae's arm.
"It's not you fault, baby." Tae said, and brought Kook's hand up for a kiss, "And besides, it needs to be done. The things we're doing now." he nodded, "And fine, we're gonna be out at sea for a while, still, ok, let's roll with that, it is what it is and if that's what it takes?" he asked, rethorically, "Come at me." he continued.

Jungkook looked at his man, this was what he'd been waiting for, he realised, without even being aware of it.
This, was what he'd been missing. Taehyung moulding everything together in his head and arriving at some conclusion Jungkook would never understand how he'd gotten to, but, that would somehow work for the both of them.
"So, we're out at sea?" Jungkook prompted, "What are you suggesting we do?"
"I'm suggesting we get a bigger boat." Tae said, "One that would let us navigate our own way and not make us seasick with every little gust of wind." he smiled, "Landlubbers as we are."
"Ok?" A fresh breeze of reassurment washed over Jungkook, blowing away all doubts and dust, clearing away the last daze from, what felt like, a long dream he'd just woken up from, and jolted him to life.
Like they were back.
The capable, creative, committed, young men they actually were.
Not the lost little boys, biting their nails, following others commands as they'd been doing theese last few months.
For obvious reasons.
