Me: "do you maybe have to make a big arrest today or some dangerous high profile arrest?" I ask my sister over the phone.
Her: "no I will be at the station the entire day, why?" She asks back.
Me: "I have a bad feeling, like something really terrible is going to happen to someone really close to me" I tell her.

Today I woke up feeling panicked. There's just this constant uneasy feeling at the pit of my stomach. And I'd be lying if I said that I'm not scared of finding out what it means because the last time I felt like this or felt anything close to this,Nqobi got shot and he almost died.

Her: "ehhh ho tsebe wena lemadlozi a hao" that's her answer, mxm.
Me: "Katso ke serious hle!"
Her: "okay sorry but you do know that I'm not the only sibling that you have and I'm not the only person that's closest to you? So check up on them too" is there a market to sell sisters?
Me: "o nkaraba masepa wena" I tell her. I'm out here showing concern about you and you are telling me to pass my concern to someone else.
Her: "nchoo I love you too" she laughs.
Me: "please be safe, look out for any signs of danger or anything suspicious" I plead with her.
Her: "I love you more big sis and don't worry its probably nothing" she says,if only I too believed that "its probably nothing". We then conclude our call.

Time to call my other sibling, his phones rings for a short while before he answers.
Him: "ngwana mme?" Thats how he answers.
Me: "abuti" I greet back. Then I hear his wife shout "Mme MaNdlovu" yes she's crazy like that.
Me: "ahe Mme MaMokoena" I guess I'm now on loud speaker. We exchange pleasantries for a while then I say. "Askies hle mme empa ke hloka ho bua le Lesedi"
Him: "I'm listening" he says not giving Mamello the chance to respond.

Me: "so like,I woke up this morning with this heavy feeling in my gut, like something terrible is going to happen neh?" I start off and when I hear him sigh I just know that he's bored already.
Me: "Lesedi mamela I just need you to be careful,be safe please. Especially given your line of work" well I can freely speak about his "work" in front of his wife because she knows everything. Unlike me,sy is nie 'n bang gat nie(she's not a scaredy cat.) Rumour has it that she's a bad ass,she has that Wife of a gang leader thing. By rumour,I mean that I was told this by Lesedi,Nqobi and Cebo.

Him: "mhm wena le di heavy gut what what, mara ska warra ngwana ha ke ye ndawo vandie. Ke tla ba ke chitse le maddie yaka" for your sake I hope so. There's really not much to say to this one so I hang up after pleading with his ass to be safe and be on the look out for danger.

"I don't think that Nonjabulo should go to school today" I tell Nqobi, who like Lesedi thinks that I'm blowing things out of proportion. "Hai cha MaDlamini ayikho yonke lento yakho" when I glare at him he quickly says "she will be safe. I promise" nizwile angithi bahlali, should anything happen to Joy,Nqobi is to be blamed. "I will hold you accountable if anything happens to her" I tell him meaning it.

I didn't just call my siblings,I called Nqobi's siblings too and unlike mine they didn't take me as a joke. I also called our parents,my mom advised me to pray on it. While Nqobi's mom just said I also have to be vigilant especially because I know the kind of man that I married and that when shit hits the fan,it hits the fan for real. "I don't think that you should go to work today" says Nqobi with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Mxm you just want me to stay home with you" I say brushing him off.

"Hau angithi wuwe o nama bad feeling" he tries to argue. "Yes but normally this bad feeling means that something will happen to the PEOPLE AROUND ME NOT ME" I retort. "I still think that you should not go to work" this time around he whines. I shoot him a pointed look until he smirks then licks his lips. "Ohh wow ufuna sibe sibhebhana, mxm" I walk away going to the bathroom and I hear the idiot laughing behind me. "I heard that sex is good for pregnant wom..." I block him out when I close the door. Mxm Horny bastard.
