"Professor.." Dayu looked up and saw some students raising their hands. It's the end of the lesson, and as usual, Dayu asked his students to ask questions before the class ended.
"Yes, Ms Xuan..?" Dayu motioned for one student to stand up.
"You looked a little strange these last few weeks..Are you sick again?" The girl asked, worriedly. Professor Feng first fell ill about half a year ago. Exactly one year after he married Wang Qing. Then for the next two months he had to take a couple of weeks sick leave each month. Then, for the next two more months; the professor really looked ill; losing quiet a lot of weight. But, he never took sick leave since. And he was able to teach normally without too much hardship. The students were very concerned; often asking the professor about his illness, to which he just smiled and told them that he's alright. And that it's not a contagious disease(which be joked about) and they shouldn't be worried too much about it.
The Professor then gradually recovered, and it had been several months now . He had got back most of the weight he lost. And his colour has returned.
So everybody thought that the Professor had really recovered. Then, it started again. The Professor began looking unwell again.
"I'm alright, Ms Xuan.." Dayu reassured her, smiling gently, "don't you guys worry about me.." he said to all his other students, "I'm sorry if I caused you guys to feel concerned for me.." he's sure that they're worried for him.
"Professor...Please..Don't push yourself too much..." The students began talking in unison. No doubt; Dayu had been their favourite lecturer thus far. And despite the fact that he's married to the still reigning heartthrob, Wang Qing, his students still love him. Even though; there are people (including students of the university) who thought that Dayu had deprived the people, especially the girls of chances to be with Wang Qing; and that Dayu had pulled the straight Wang Qing, into the dark world of homosexuality; nobody could really say anything about it- knowing that they had the full support of not only Wang Qing's family but also most of the University students.
His students backed him up so much. And for that; Dayu was very thankful. Dayu knew that he's making his students worry over him, and he's not happy about it. But, he also knew that he couldn't tell the real reason for his illness to his students, just like that. This isn't something that would be easy for people to understand.
