The Wang household turned gloomy the moment they got the call, a little after ten that morning.
"Hello, Dayu ah.." Qing's mother was very much delighted when she received the call.
"Hello, ma..." Dayu began, he actually didn't want to involve the family in thise, but he really couldn't tolerate Qing at the moment. And there's no where else that he could go; Aiden and Jin are at work and he didn't want to loiter around aimlessly like a delinquent. The only place he could go is to his in law, "I'm coming over for lunch..."
Wang Bomi immediately stopped what she was doing then. Her husband who had taken the next few days off including today (because they're waiting for Dayu's family to come), frowned when he saw his wife stopping; it's her favourite past time nowadays and nothing could made her stop so suddenly before.
"Uhm..Dayu ah.." Wang Bomi stood up, leaving the half finished baby booty she's working on on the couch. Both that and the sound of her voice alarmed Wang Ho. He also put down his newspaper and concentrated on his wife. His wife's favourite past times nowadays was knitting and she'd been knitting lots of wool booties, mittens and sweaters for her grandchild.
"Only you..?"
"Yes, ma..Is that okay..?" Came Dayu's hesitant question and Wang Bomi gave a nervous laugh, then.
"Of course it is, Dayu ah..!" She exclaimed maybe a little too cheerfully, "please come..Ma had been calling you guys to come for lunch or dinner for a very long time..."
It's true though; she'd tried asking Qing and Dayu to come either for lunch or dinner but, somehow, the couple had been pretty busy lately. Of course, it's understandable, considering Dayu had to arrange for his leave from the university and Qing also had his band activities to cater to, before he too took a break to be with Dayu. They also just moved in, to a new house; and the family haven't been invited to house yet.
Of course, the family understood Qing and Dayu's situation, and now that both of them have started taking a break from their normal jobs; the family had been expecting them to finally come. Though; Wang Bomi hadn't expected it to be today and she certainly never expected that it would only be Dayu who's coming. It's unnatural. Wang Qing would never let Dayu drive alone, anywhere, not now when Dayu's pregnant. And Wang Qing would never ever let Dayu come here, or anywhere- for that matter without him, nowadays. This is unnatural. Something's wrong! Really wrong!
"Is that Dayu..? What's wrong, now- honey?" Wang Ho was really concerned seeing his wife sudden change of demeanor.
"Dayu's coming..And he's alone.." Wang Bomi said, looking at her husband.
"Qing's not coming?" Wang Ho frowned a little confused, "is Qing still very busy now, that he couldn't even come with Dayu for lunch..?" He mumbled. Then, he stopped when he saw his wife threw him an exasperated look.
