"How are you guys holding on?" Qing asked as he joined in the video call, making himself comfortable next to Dayu on the couch in front of the laptop.
"We're okay...Been in touch with your mother and grandmother every two days.." Dayu's mother smiled, "ah..and your sister is so sweet too..We chat daily.."
Qing's face crunched a little, "Ma..When will Dayu and I be added into the group?" Qing asked. He had been asking to be added in for months now.
"Ahh- about that..I still don't have enough votes to add you guys in..Sorry.." Dayu's mother grinned, sheepishly, "about the theme...You guys sure about purple, black and white.? I know they're your guys' favourite colours...But..."
Dayu smiled, knowing that his mother was only running away from Qing's questions. The question about the wedding theme had already been resolved a month ago.
"Of course..We are okay with that..." Qing knew it too, "Ma..who's against us joining in?" Qing asked frustratedly, then realised that it's a stupid question because he knew very well his mother on law wouldn't answer and he also knew the answer to the questions as well.
"Don't answer that, Ma..sorry..." Qing sighed and then smiled at his mother in law, "sorry I asked..." then he changed the subject, "Dayu and I would be coming there in two weeks time.. We'll be able to help a little with the preparation, then.."
Qing's mother smiled widely at that, as she beamed at Qing, "yes..we're really looking forward to your guys arrival!!"
Dayu smiled at his mother too, thinking that he and Qing were also looking forward to meeting his family too. He and Qing planned to go back three weeks before the wedding, which is two weeks away.
"Hopefully, we could still make corrections if you guys made blunder in the preparation.." Dayu teased.
"Dayu ah..Your Mother and grandmother wouldn't make any blunder..." Qing immediately went on his favourites girls' defense. Dayu pretended to doubt that, though he knew full well that they wouldn't.
"Listen to Qing..Dayu...We would not make blunder..Maybe if we were only thinking about you- we might. But..This isn't just for you. This is for Qing too. For you both..We would make this perfect..."
