Jiyi glanced at Qing, as their mother and Dayu's mother finally finished dressing the newborn twins and tucking them side by side into the crib next to Dayu's bed.
"I can't believe how you could have forgotten the maternity bag..!" She hissed at Qing.
"I remembered it, at the back of my mind..." Qing defended himself, it's pretty much the truth after all,"it was just...it wasn't my biggest priority at that time..!" He sat next to Dayu and brushed Dayu's cheek with his fingers lovingly, "I was only thinking about Dayu.."
Jiyi couldn't fault that, so she clammed her mouth shut. Nobody could blame Qing for putting his beloved person first. So, even though her beloved niece and nephew were only clad in hospital towels when they were born, she couldn't really blame Qing for it. She sighed, looking at the crib where the twins laid sleeping.
"They are so lovely...!" The other women murmured as they gathered around the crib watching the babies sleep soundly, then they began to cry. They held back as much as they could earlier on because Qing wouldn't let them go near the babies if they cried. Now that the babies had been dressed up and sleeping, they let it all out.
The men could only stood a little far back, waiting for their turn to admire the bundles of miracles, knowing that they wouldn't get any space there at the moment. They had to wait for the ladies to finish their adoration. They could only, peeked from their place into the crib, trying hard not to voice out their impatience.
The twins so precious and adorable, in their matching pink and blue baby wrapper, sleeping in the crib, content and oblivious to the cries around them.
Qing smiled joyfully and proudly, to himself. They're mischieveous; those two, they didn't even let me prepare myself! Qing thought. But I love them so much!
Then Qing looked at Dayu just as Dayu also turned to look at him. They gazed at each other's eyes for some precious moments and then they smiled. They both had the same thought, and they knew it.
"Shh..!" Jiyi walked over to the crying grandmothers and great grandmothers, "come on you guys..cut it out...! You're going to wake them..!" She joined in, with them, despite her words. She couldn't blame them for crying with happiness; who wouldn't ? With a blessing such as this?
Qing smiled watching the women and men, in their family being completely smitten by the twins. He wasn't worried in the slightest that their soft cries would wake them; the twins were content and full. Dayu already nursed them while they're in the operating theatre.
It was such an incredible and amazing sight. Qing stared in fascination, despite his tears, when he saw how much Dayu's chest grew in a matter of hours. His chest had been swollen for quiet sometime and they knew that it was because his body had been preparing to produce milk. But, it was when it's time to nurse that it looked so engorged. It was beautiful and erotic.
