"You're mine! You're mine!" He repeated over and over again as he looked at the pictures on the wall, on the floor and on his bed.
He had came home in a daze this afternoon and he began taking out all the pictures which he'd put in a box, and was determined to throw away a month ago.
And his room is now, once again filled with pictures of one person; Dayu; his Dayu; from birth to recent year. And it dawned on him. What is it that he really wanted.
He really thought that he could let go of him. He believed that he's finally cured off his obsession for Dayu. He was finally able to sleep with someone without imagining that he's sleeping with Dayu. And even though, it's a woman, he thought, that it didn't matter. It meant that he was finally able to break free of Dayu.
For as long as he could remember, he had always been looking at Dayu. The pretty boy, of the Feng household, his family friend's only son who was a year younger than him. And for as long as he could remember, he had always been following him around like a puppy. Doing everything that Dayu told him to do.
And as they grew older, he began to realised that Dayu wasn't like the rest of them; he's way brighter, way smarter and way better in almost everything and that's when he began to feel very afraid of losing Dayu.
He began wanting Dayu in more ways than one too. He began to crave for him physically starting from middle school. And, he knew; Dayu didn't feel the same way. When he got as far as holding his hands, Dayu would give him a questioning look and reprimanding look and he would let go of him almost immediately.
Soon, he began taking on lovers, and imagining he's having sex with Dayu when he's doing it with them.
He knew that sooner or later, Dayu would come to agree to a physical relationship. And he had long ago decided that Dayu's partner, was going to be him. Until Dayu was ready, he would use his methods of dealing with his craving.
And he'd been guarding Dayu fiercely as well. Since preschool, the tendency to keep Dayu to himself, was already evident.
He was in his second and last year of preschool before he got to primary school and he'd been making sure that no boys got close to Dayu, except for the three boys, Aiden, Jin and Mark, whom he had tried everything, from verbal threats, to blackmails to even physically bullying them. It was easy for him to do because he'd always been the bigger ones and he had his own gang. The three boys didn't tell Dayu about the threats and bullying but they also kept being friends with Dayu. And it got worse when a girl, named Linda finally joined the odd group.
Linda had always been so spunky, and unlike the other three boys who were visibly scared of him, she wasn't. In fact it was she who reported the bullying incidents to the teacher despite being threatened. And it was she who told Dayu of what he had done to his three friends. The teacher and Dayu both confronted him for what he'd done, but it was to Dayu that he made the promise not to do anything more to his friends.
