PHOENIX POV

"Thank you, Nick. I know you'll get me out of this!"

"Don't worry (Y/n), I will try my best."

We left the detention centre after talking to (Y/n) and headed back to the office, "So Nick, you like her, don't you?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about," I replied my face going bright red, "Really, Nick?"

"Ok fine! Yes I do have a crush on her Maya. Now what is this all about?"

"Let's make a bet, Nick. You win the case, you confess your feelings to her. You win the case you buy me a years supply of burgers and (Y/n) a years supply of (F/f), deal?"

"Fine!" We shook on it.

TIMESKIP

"Are the defence and prosecution ready?"

"The defence is ready your honour."

"The prosecution is also ready your honour. The prosecution would like to call it's first witness: The detective who first arrived on the scene." Gumshoe came to the stand.

"Witness. Name and occupation."

"Homicide detective, Dick Gumshoe Sir!"

"Describe the incident."

"Ok, so Mr (L/n) was found dead in his bedroom and his wife was found dead in the kitchen. Both had been shot. The defendant was the only other one in the house and was found asleep in her room. Her prints were on the murder weapon."

TIMESKIP

"Miss Windston, have you ever been to the (L/n)'s residence?"

"No, I witnessed the murder through the window in the kitchen."

Wait a minute! That can't be right!

"Nick, did you figure something out?" Maya asked me.

"Yeah, Miss Windston, I'd would like you to take a look at the floor plans on the house. You'll see that there is no window on the side you stated there was one. How could you have seen the murder? I also did some digging and found out that you had been on trial for theft a few years ago and Mr (L/n) had been the lead prosecutor on the case and got you in jail. Giving you a motive for his murder, and with his wife being the lead detective, and finding the incriminating piece of evidence to put you behind bars that give you a motive for her murder as well."

"Ok fine! I confess! I killed that good for nothing prosecutor and his useless wife!"

TIME SKIP

"Thank you Nick." (Y/n) said to me after the trial had finished.

"(Y/n), I have something to tell you, I love you." I replied going completely red.

"I-I don't know what to say." My face dropped. I then felt pressure on my lips. I looked down to see (Y/n) kissing me. She broke away shyly and was as red as a tomato, "I love you too Nick."

"Hey Nick! You owe me burgers and (Y/n) some (F/f)!" Maya shouted running up to us.

"Holt it! You said that if I lost the case that I had to buy you food!"

"Actually I didn't. I said win in both cases."

"You sneaky little spirit medium."

"It's ok Nick. You don't need to buy me anything, I already have everything I want; You." (Y/n) said standing on her tiptoes to kiss me on the lips.

"MR NICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Hi Pearl."

"Mr Nick, is this your special someone?" I nodded both me and (Y/n) going bright red.
