I was asleep in bed, despite the fact it was already 2 in the afternoon, but it was my day off so I could. However, I was disturbed from my peaceful slumber by my phone going off. I looked at the caller ID. What the hell does he want? He knows it's my day off!
You - MILES EDGEWORTH! YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR WAKING ME UP!
Edgeworth - (Y/n), it's two in the afternoon! Why are you still sleep? Should you not be at work?
You - No, it's my day off and I was going to spend the day happily alseep the whole time but someone had to ruin that plan for me.
Edgeworth - I have a reason.
You - Out with it. Now.
Edgeworth - Ok, I will. But you probably won't believe me.
You - Just tell me, Goddamnit Miles!
Edgeworth - Kay got arrested again.
You - Again!? How many times?! Let me guess you want me to defend her right?
Edgeworth - Please?
You - Gah! Fine. But this is the last time!
Edgeworth - I'll make sure to tell her that.
You - I'll be at the detention centre within the half hour. Bye.
I hung up before he could reply and got up before getting dressed and grabbing an Alpen bar from the kitchen to keep me going. I had to pop into the agency to get something so, I made my way there, the Alpen bar still in my mouth when I arrived.
"(Y/n)? What are you doing here? It's your day off is it not?"
"Yes, I know Wright. But guess what happened," I replied grabbing my laptop charger from my desk draw.
"You decided to come anyway?"
"No, it has something to do with a certain thief."
"Oh! Kay got arrested again didn't she? And Mr Edgeworth is making you defend her!"
"Ten points to Athena for working it out!" I replied, walking out the door.
ATHENA'S POV
"How'd you figure it out, Athena?"
"Easy, she always comes in, in that state when Kay gets arrested. There's also something in her voice that gives it away."
"You mean her emotions are betraying her?"
"Yep! She wants to be mad at Kay for getting arrested but, she can't bring herself to. I'm also sensing fear and nervousness from her whenever it happens."
"Wonder why that is."
I facepalmed, "Really, Mr Wright? You haven't figured it out by now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why d you think (Y/n) would go out of her way, AND ON HER DAY OFF to defend Kay?"
"Becuase Edgeworth asked her to?"
"No, she's got a crush on her."
"What?!"

"Kay, tell me what happened please. I'm going to defend you, again."
"Thank you! But, I don't think you can win this one, I really did steal it," she replied looking down at her lap.
"Kay, I've managed to get you out of other things haven't I? Listen, I know you're just saying that to live up to the Yatagarusu honour but please, tell me the truth. Did you steal it?"
"No, I didn't! Please help me (Y/n)!"
"I was going to help anyway Kay."

"This court finds the defendant... NOT GUILTY! Court adjourned!"
I walked out the courtroom and Kay jumped on me, "THank you!" I felt my face go red, "Y-you're welcome, Kay."
"Come on! Just kiss her already!"
I turned round to see Athena, "What?!"
"I said.."
"I know what you said Athena, why?!" I turned back to Kay, "Sorry about Athena sh-" I was cut off by Kay wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me. I was surprised at first but melted into it, wrapping my arms around her waist.
"Go (Y/n)!"
I just ignored Athena. We eventually broke off for air, "Love you, (Y/n)."
"I love you too Kay," I replied, kissing her again.
"Well well well, what do we have here?"
We broke off at the sound of the voice and Kay squeaked, hiding behind me, "Mr Edgeworth! I'm sorry, I won't do it again!"
"Kay, I'm not mad at you. I've been waiting for this to happen."
"YOU WHAT?!! MILES EDGEWORTH GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW! YOU MAY BE OLDER THAN ME BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SHIP ME WITH YOUR ASSISTANT!" I shouted, starting to chase him out of the courthouse.
"(Y/n)! I'm sorry! It was too tempting!"
"'Too tempting' my arse! How long?!" I asked when I caught up to him and grabbed a hold of his suit jacked collar, glaring daggers at him.
"A while, since Wright got his badge back."
I glared harder at him, "Two years!? You've been shipping me with Kay for two bloody years?!"
"Sorry."
"I give up!" I paused before a smirk appeared on my face, "Maybe I'll just continue to ship you with Wright then."
"What?! Why?!"
"So you're denying you're crushing on him?" His face went red and I giggled, "Miles and Wright sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
"(Y/n)! Shut up!"
"No! This is payback!"
"I said sorry! If I told you WRight has been shipping you as well will you leave me alone?"
"Let me think, no!" I continued to pester him.
