Darion was over her with his sword at her neck while Deianeira still had the bow in her hands; she did not have the time to shoot the arrow again. Her back still hurt after he had sent her flying into a tree, but he was not totally unscarred either as two arrows in his shoulder and back were proof of Deianeira's struggle; her aim had improved, but she still lacked the agility. Darion laughed and gave her his hand to lift her up.
Dr: Next time. The others are coming back from hunting.
Dei: I wish one day I will be stronger than you.
Dr: Maybe in a next life.
He brushed her hair and chuckled; she had improved a lot indeed. As soon as they came back, Elain's bright smile let Darion know she was very proud of herself. Since her awakening, she had not used her shields, she had nothing else to hide, allowing him to finally read her whenever he wanted to.
