Tai Chen Palace was spacious with many rooms.

Dong Hua had Zhong Lin help him into one of them and sat down into a deep meditation.

His loyal steward stood nearby the whole time completely worried out of his mind.

When Dong Hua arose from the bed Zhong Lin approached him great concern.

"Dijun ... what happened to you? Did you go to purify the Hui Ming Realm? Is this why you're in such a state? Are the realms on the edge of a cataclysmic event?"

Dong Hua looked at Zhong Lin blankly.

"No. I had too many peach cookies."

Zhong Lin's frazzled face cramped into confusion.

"W-what?" he stuttered.

"I ... said ... I had ... too many ... peach cookies." The almighty god spoke slowly so his loyal steward wouldn't misunderstand anything. "The sleepover was a marathon and I've never had so many peach cookies in one night."

"P - puh ... peach cookies did this to you?"

"Yes, it's all she would let me eat and it was an ungodly amount. But after that brief meditation, everything below my ribcage feels more stabilized now."

Zhong Lin could not believe his ears. Had His Majesty indulged with Her Highness to the point of injury? What was wrong with this couple? And what was an ungodly amount of peach cookies, anyway, he wondered. He didn't know the exact unit of measure for peach cookies. In truth he didn't know what kind of phenomenon peach cookies were; he just knew they belonged intimately to the princess. It was possibly a body part, it was possibly an act done to a body part or parts but either way he didn't need to know the specifics.

"Dijun, did you ever think of pacing yourself? I mean I assume you knew she was planning on going the whole night. She's apparently robust like that."

Dong Hua blinked a few times trying to consider Zhong Lin's patronizing tone.

"Of course I tried to pace myself but she kept bringing the peach cookies up to my mouth."

Zhong Lin shut his eyes closed so hard he thought the muscles in his eyelids would spasm. "With all due respect Dijun ... but you could politely refuse, no? Or how about this, just use deflection techniques so you could rest for a few moments."

Dong Hua peered over curiously at his loyal steward.

"Zhong Lin, I know your loyalties have always been with me but I thought after our last conversation you understood that the little highness's happiness is not only my, but should also be your ultimate concern. I could not deny her."

Zhong Lin slowly opened up his eyes. "Of course Dijun, yes."

But what am I supposed to do when both my master and my mistress are constantly injuring themselves?
