After the almighty god brought his beloved entourage into his aura back to Tai Chen Palace, he had them emerge in Mogu's quarters. In the far East Wing of the palace was an expansive courtyard, garden, and cave where his immortal beast called home.

She was curled up on Mogu's side in a deep slumber. The beast was sleeping on his stomach and Dong Hua had placed a sleeping enchantment over both of them after he withdrew the uninjured wing into Mogu's aura. The injured wing had been bandaged. He then conjured a bowl of warm water and a rag while he washed off the dried blood that was caked over her little hands. He noticed that the demon ring was no longer on her finger. Who had she given it away to, he wondered.

He had placed a blanket over the beast's hindquarters to avoid any unconscious displays of amazing vistas and lionscapes. He pulled her up closer to the beast's shoulder and placed a light blanket over her.

Dong Hua rendered the Snow Lion's forepaw paralyzed so Mogu would not accidentally elbow his little fox and send her flying across the cave. He knew his mount was too weak to turn his massive body in his sleep so he did not worry about her being crushed. Moments after they emerged from his aura she had fallen asleep from exhaustion next to her mount and Dong Hua knew she would want to wake up right next to him.

Zhong Lin and Si Ming had come to offer their assistance. They had always known that the Master of Tai Chen Palace was knowledgable about medicine but they figured it was more of a hobby. He quickly came out to them as a physician but offered no other explanations and they knew better than to ask.

His loyal steward took down a long list of herbs that would be needed from Dong Hua's medicinal storeroom. Si Ming was tasked to borrow surgical tools from the King of Medicines that the almighty god no longer kept in his collection due to being long-retired from his battlefield physician duties. A small kitchen would be erected in the corner of Mogu's cave where Dong Hua could craft pills, tonics, salves, and medicinal soups. Not only was his loyal mount under his care, his little fox who had used much of her precious cultivation would be his most precious patient.

When the cave was quiet, he entered into a meditation where his shimmering blue aura was expanded to embrace both his slumbering massive Snow Lion and his sleeping little fox.

When she woke up, all she could see was a sea of white fibers in front of her face. They tickled her nose and she fought a small battle with them as they fell back over her as she tried to fiercely blow them away. The warm white surface on which she was lying on was moving very slowly but there was an obvious rising and falling. It was lulling, like being in the ocean, undulating with the waves.

Mogu.

She realized that it was his mane in her face and the warm white moving surface was the immortal beast breathing heavily in his sleep.

As she turned to lie on her back she could see Dijun lying on his side next to her. She looked down to see his arm was wrapped around her waist. He appeared to be asleep.

So the almighty god was not immune to fatigue. He had come to take them all home back into his aura. Of course he would be tired, she thought. She turned to face him, lying as close to him as she could without waking him up.
