So in Mogu's note he mentioned "do the vote." I had a reader mention that they didn't even know they could vote for the story. When I first started reading on Wattpad I also had no idea what that was about. I still barely know how to work Wattpad honestly, just enough to post updates to my story. At the bottom of your screen when you finish there should be a star and if you click on that, it's considered a "vote" which works similarly to a "like" on facebook.

Thanks to all of you who already do that! It's the only form of currency I get, so to speak, from writing this. Besides all the good feels :)

(flashback to before breakfast in the fox den)

"Are you sure we're going in the right direction?" asked Si Ming while looking around uncertainly.

They were walking deeper and deeper into the forest looking for Dong Hua.

"We're sure to feel his ... ahhh!!!" yelled out Zhong Lin who slipped on some moss. He gripped Si Ming's shoulder to prevent himself from falling face-down onto the forest floor.

Si Ming held his friend's arm securely. "Are you okay?'"

"Yeah ...." Zhong Lin huffed and puffed as he steadied himself by leaning his other arm against a tree trunk to get his bearings.

"I meant to say we're sure to feel his aura."

Si Ming nodded. "Maybe he'll hear our bells."

Zhong Lin chuckled. "Either that or some predator is going to hear our bells and have an easy time tracking us down for their breakfast."

Si Ming shook his head. "No, don't say that."

"I'm joking

"I'm joking. This is Qing Qiu, I'm sure it's very safe. Even the Bear and Wolf Clans have pledged their allegiance to Bai Zhi Dijun."

"Well, that's good. Hey, what do you think Dijun is doing in the middle of the forest? Why do we need these linens?"

"Maybe he's making pottery as a gift to her family and he wants us to polish them," said Zhong Lin. "He recently asked me to procure more clay from the banks of the Ruoshui River. Perhaps his 'morning ritual' is just a ruse to make these gifts for them."

Si Ming nodded as he adjusted the pile of linens on his arms back onto his shoulder. "Hey what do you think of the demon? As her bodyguard he's going to be with Her Highness pretty much wherever she goes. How's he going to fit into Tai Chen Palace? or the Nine Heavens for that matter?"

"Liu Jun? I don't know. He seems alright. He just keeps to himself. I mean he's even masked his demon smell for Her Highness, no pun intended," chuckled Zhong Lin. "I'm sure Her Highness will find a way to integrate him into Tai Chen Palace. She doesn't like people being left out. And you know Dijun wouldn't allow anyone to be by her side if they weren't dedicated to her safety. I'm more worried about how the Heavenly Lord is going to react to having a demon walking around freely in the Nine Heavens."
