Mogu stood behind the trees to let the little highness survey the scene.

"Wow, it's crowded." She could feel the anxiety knot within her stomach.

"These cosmic flowers are a configuration of stars. They only bloom in this sequence every 250,000 years. Many of them are seeing this for the first time."

"Mogu, have you seen the Phoenix Flowers?"

"Yes, once with Master. It was a boring affair and I fell asleep."

"Oh, okay."

"Mistress, are you ready to face the roast ducks?" he grumbled out.

"Yes, Mogu I am! Are you ready for your dead bodies?" she whispered.

"Allllways," he growled out.

"Mogu," she said as she tapped on his shoulder, "I see my friends. Up there!" She crawled up his back and leaned over his head and pointed them out to the beast.

Mogu grumbled out. "If they are your friends then I will excuse them from my dead body count."

She leaned her chin down on his head, "Can you take me to them? Dijun calls them Celestial toddlers."

"That is generous of Master. They are actually fetuses compared to him."

She raised her eyebrows. She hadn't thought about that comparison.

"Mistress, it is time to make your debut. Sit tall like the queen that you are. And remember, when you see their eyes on you, they are each a roast duck for the taking."

"Crispy skin," she whispered. She scooted back down and sat up. She smoothed down her hair that was displaced while she and Mogu rode like wind.

"Jellyfish," she whispered as she smoothly and softly moved her body in fluid movements before she sat up straight. She imagined Dijun running the back of his fingers up her spine, straightening each of her vertebrae with his touch. She took a deep relaxing breath.

"Onward, Mogu," she whispered.

The beast emitted a low satisfied growl.

As he emerged from the trees, a few gasps followed by many gasps could be heard as the majestic Snow Lion proudly walked out with his young Mistress sitting tall on his back.

The contrast of the massive white Snow Lion and the little highness in light pink was a sight to behold. Her posture and poise made it look like she had been riding him her whole life.

Remember, Mistress, you are dominating these ducks into submission, purred out Mogu telepathically.

I thought I was eating the ducks, she replied through her thoughts while still keeping a small calm smile on her face.

Dominate first, eat later, he purred out.

Throngs of Celestial fairies and immortals bowed with each step the mount quietly padded out. Mogu leisurely walked up the marble steps that led to where her friends were standing. She kept her head up and looked out calmly at the rows of roast ducks before her. The thought of their salty, sweet, and crispy skin brought a serene smile to her face.
